PROJECT 1

The "Evaluation Intelligence" department plays a key role in transforming evaluation science into a strategic lever, ensuring that our product promises are understood, relevant, and validated worldwide. By joining the International Consumer Science team, you will be at the heart of issues linking product performance to consumer satisfaction and trust.

Your Main Mission Within an international and dynamic environment, your mission will be to create and develop a harmonized guide of best practices for validating consumer claims. Today, how we test and validate what our consumers think of our products is crucial for our communication. Your work will ensure global consistency and methodological excellence, taking into account local specificities. This guide will become the reference for all our Consumer Science teams worldwide.

Your Responsibilities and Key Tasks To successfully complete this strategic mission, you will be required to:

  • Scoping and Collection Phase:
    • Map out key experts and contacts within Consumer Science teams in our strategic HUBs (e.g., Europe, North America, Asia, etc.)
    • Organize and conduct interviews to collect and understand current practices, methodologies, and processes in each region.
    • Collaborate with regulatory teams to gather and analyze country-specific legal frameworks concerning product claims
  • Analysis and Synthesis Phase
    • Analyze and compare collect data to identify convergences, divergences, and existing best practices.
    • Synthesize this information clearly and structurally to extract the pillars of a harmonized methodology.
  • Creation and Formalization Phase:
    • Draft the "Best Practices Guide" in English. This document must be scientifically and regulatorily rigorous, yet also educational and easy for operational   teams to use
    • Propose decision trees, checklists, and templates to facilitate the daily application of the guide
    • Prepare a concise and impactful presentation of your work for department management

PROJECT 2

Creation of a "Cleansers and Hygiene Methods Book" by compiling protocols. Comparative analysis of different study types for the evaluation of these products and their specificities. Capitalization and transmission of expertise within the team.

 

PROJECT 3

Analysis of Sensory Evaluation databases and updating of sensory lexicons for the Haircare universe (shampoo, treatments). Animation and implementation of training sessions for trained sensory panels and sensory experts.

 

PROJECT 4

  • Promote the expertise of the Evaluation Intelligence department
    • Design and produce impactful communication materials (presentations, brochures, videos, infographics, etc.) to promote the department's projects and expertise to an internal and/or external audience.
    • Support the organization of internal and/or external events to enhance the visibility of the department and its achievements.
  • Optimize the department's internal communication:
    • Audit, update, and energize existing communication materials (collaborative platforms, practical guides...).
    • Train teams in the optimal use of internal communication tools (SharePoint type).
  • Develop specific communication tools for each area of expertise:
    • In collaboration with experts from each scientific domain, create clear and attractive communication materials (lexical cards, presentations, etc.) to facilitate the understanding and dissemination of knowledg

 

PROJECT 5

Facing these innovation challenges, you will be at the heart of L'Oréal's strategy by piloting methods for evaluating beauty experiences as well as new testing protocols. Motivated by a professional project focused on evaluation skills and experience design, your mission will be to:

  • Conduct a literature review on  Sensory Design and Emotions.
  • Develop test protocols to formulate recommendations for innovation project teams and take charge of     the complete organization of the study.
  • Collect, analyze, and interpret  emotional, physiological, and implicit measurement data.
  • Showcase your work through oral presentations internationally.

 

PROJECT 6

  • Familiarize yourself with  sensory evaluation techniques already used at L'Oréal.
  • Immerse yourself in the professional expertise of L'Oréal's hairdresser experts to understand and master the world of hair coloring.
  • Set up studies to decode the link between visual color evaluation criteria and its instrumental evaluation.
  • Propose concrete recommendations and test designs based on your academic knowledge, in alignment with the results of conducted studies and the operational realities of the profession.


PROJECT 7

From L'Oréal's Research & Innovation site in St-Ouen, and within the Evaluation Intelligence team, you will actively contribute to the innovation of hair coloring products. Your main mission will be to develop and perpetuate methods for training and performance monitoring of color evaluation. This strategic approach is essential to optimize the performance of our products. Here are the details of your missions:

  • Optimize training and follow-up: You will contribute to the optimization of training and performance monitoring for our expert evaluators. The objective will be to make these processes innovative, robust, and flexible in the long term, in perfect alignment with the constantly evolving needs of the market and the environment.
  • Immersion and mastery of hair expertise: Trained by our hairdresser experts, you will develop in-depth knowledge of hair coloring, from application to product performance evaluation, to anchor our methods in real-world practice.
  • Evolve our evaluation methods: You will learn sensory and cognitive evaluation methods applied to hair coloring products (consumer and professional) and you will be proactive in continually evolving them.

 

PROJECT 8

Harmonization and optimization of the quality system within the Hair Product Evaluation department. Reporting to the Evaluation Intelligence Quality Manager, you will play a central role in the harmonization, rationalization, and optimization of the quality system and its deployment within the Hair Evaluation Intelligence department. You will contribute to the adoption and promotion of Quality within the teams, thereby strengthening the excellence of our product evaluations and the performance of our processes. Your missions:

  • Analyze and harmonize the documentary system.
  • Participate in cross-functional projects in collaboration with central teams, such as the project for     structuring evaluation study processes.
  • Support and ensure quality monitoring of external partners and support quality management within the     department.
  • Draft and optimize key processes and procedures
  • Support the implementation of practices, assist in formalization and document dissemination.
  • Create communication tools  aimed at promoting and disseminating the quality approach.
  • Support operational teams in  applying best practices and quality standards.


PROJECT 9

Taking control of the polychromatic HDRS device. Evaluation of the performance of formulas with different galenics and different types of resistance. Comparison to current ISO standards.



Your Profile:

You are pursuing a Master’s degree (Year 1 or 2) in engineering school or university (sensory evaluation, chemistry, biology, consumer science, regulatory affairs, pharmacy, communication, cognitive sciences, neuroscience, data science)

Skills in data science or AI are a plus.

You are analytical, detail-oriented, and comfortable in English (B2 minimum).

You are a team player who can work independently, with a proactive mindset and results-driven approach.

You are passionate about science and innovation.
