About the Role:
As the Lead RUN, you will be responsible for the operational strategy and management of robotic platforms within the Lab Automation department. You will lead a team dedicated to the operation and maintenance of robotic systems while optimizing platform performance to meet business and scientific objectives.
Within an innovative context and in collaboration with L'Oréal's R&I and all métiers, working in tandem with the head of lab, your key responsibilites are:
Key Responsibilities:
1. RUN Strategy:
- Define and implement the overall strategy for the operation and maintenance of robotic platforms.
- Identify opportunities for continuous improvement (Continuous Improvement) to maximize operational efficiency
- Collaborate with technical teams, IT, and other departments to align RUN activities with organizational needs.
2. Team Management :
- Supervise and mentor a team of experts in robotic operations and maintenance.
- Encourage professional development through training, certifications, and growth opportunities.
- Foster a culture of operational excellence and collaboration within the team.
- 3. Performance Monitoring
- Set up relevant KPIs to measure the performance of robotic platforms (e.g.,availability, reliability, productivity, data quality).
- Regularly analyze performance data to identify weaknesses and proposecorrective solutions.
- Provide regular reporting to stakeholders on the status of platforms andprogress achieved.
4. Operational Management :
- Coordinate preventive and corrective maintenance interventions to minimize downtime.
- Manage critical incidents and oversee their resolution within agreed timelines.
- Ensure compliance with safety, quality, and regulatory standards in all operations.
5. Innovation and Optimization:
- Explore and integrate new technologies or methodologies to improve existing processes.
- Contribute to the design and implementation of new robotic platforms if necessary.
Required Skills:
Experience:
- At least 5 years of experience in the operation or maintenance of complex robotic systems, preferably in a laboratory or industrial environment.
- Proven experience in team management, with a demonstrated ability to motivate and develop talent.
- In-depth knowledge of best practices in technical asset management and automation
Technical Skills:
- Strong understanding of modern robotic systems, including their operation, maintenance, and optimization.
- Mastery of performance tracking tools (e.g., dashboards, asset management software).
- Knowledge of industrial communication protocols
Transversal Skills
- Strong analytical skills and ability to solve complex problems.
- Excellent communication skills to interact with various stakeholders (technical team, management, internal/external partners).
- Results-oriented with attention to detail.
- Ability to work in a dynamic environment.
Education:
- Engineering degree or Master’s in Robotics, Automation, Industrial Engineering, or related field.
- Additional certifications in project management, industrial maintenance, or automation are a plus.
