Oversee end-to-end cargo movement from sourcing units to final destinations.
Strategically plan and optimize shipping routes and schedules with freight forwarders.
Proactively track shipments, resolving any delays to meet planned sales dates.
Optimize container utilization to minimize shipping costs.
Follow up on inbound discrepancies and related claiming procedures when needed.
Service Provider Management:
Maintain strong relationships with freight forwarders and customs brokers.
Monitor and evaluate service provider performance against established KPIs.
Review and approve invoices, ensuring adherence to payment terms and contracted rates.
Reporting and Analysis:
Generate regular reports on logistics performance, including cost analysis.
Identify and implement cost-saving measures and process improvements.
Compliance and Regulation:
Ensure complete compliance with all relevant import and export regulations.
Internal Collaboration:
Collaborate effectively with internal stakeholders (sourcing, planning, sales) to ensure seamless logistics coordination.
Job Requirements:
Experience: 2-3 years of experience in transportation and logistics.
Knowledge and Skills:
Strong understanding of transportation principles, theories, practices, relevant laws, documentation, and regulatory compliance.
Solid knowledge of import/export regulations.
Strong analytical skills to manage transportation budgets and identify cost-saving opportunities.
Proficiency in data extraction, reporting, and analysis using Microsoft Office Suite and other data management systems.
Good communication skills to effectively interact with external (carriers, vendors/suppliers) and internal (retail, finance, software support, fulfillment centers) stakeholders.
Plus: Experience with SAP or similar ERP systems is highly desirable.
