L’Oréal Research & Innovation (R&I) has continuously invested upstream in its research with a high level of ambition. Our 4 100 L'Oréal R&I people are talented and highly skilled, located in major markets, working in a cooperative way, open to the world.

As part of the team fragrance market Intelligence and Communication, the fragrance story telling manager will have 2 key objectives to inspire & drive aspirational, differentiating & highly desirable fragrance communication, and to bring to light L’Oréal fragrance excellence at all stages of creation, from ingredient sourcing & innovation to perfume creation & communication.

  1. Communication on fragrance ingredients and innovation.
  2. Story telling on fragrances.

YOUR MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES:

1. ON THE COMMUNICATION ON FRAGRANCE INGREDIENTS & INNOVATION:
  • Set up & leverage a competitive intelligence tracker of the perfume industry's sustainability initiatives, supply chains, ingredients & innovations.
  • Build & deploy the communication - branding, messaging, and promotion - of L’Oréal ingredient programs, innovations & partnerships. 
  • Develop communication kits on L’Oréal perfumery ingredients, for marketing/brands, including the following elements:
    1. Name of innovations & ingredients
    2. Ingredients story books, with all information related to the ingredients, i.e. culture, supply chains, extraction, etc.
    3. Photos & video production (including shooting)
    4. Sharing platform & tools  
  • Support internal and external communication of fragrance ingredients: upskilling initiatives, events and media communication plans of L’Oréal group and brands. 

 

 

2. ON THE FINE FRAGRANCE STORY TELLING:

  • Conduct consumer & expert research to decode the imaginary & evocation of each fragrance 
  • Develop aspirational fragrance story books to highlight our fragrances and push desirable & differentiating story smelling on key launches
  • Drive innovative fragrance & ingredient claims on strategic perfume launches to make it a major point of differentiation.
  • Be a driving force & a source of ideas to inspire and guide the fragrance communication with L’Oréal luxury fragrance brands on strategic launches. 

TO SUCCEED IN THIS POSITION, YOU ARE:
  • Fluent in English is a must.
  • Is passionate and has a deep knowledge of fine fragrance & perfumery ingredients. 
  • 8/10+ years of fragrance copywriter experience in the fragrance industry
  • Unique storyteller talent, copywriter skills in fragrance, ability to tell stories through texts and visuals
  • Combines vision, creativity and rigor to inspire aspirational relevant fragrance communication.
  • Consumer centric, questions & think from consumer’s perspective, seeks to create high consumer value 
  • Analytical skills, ability to analyze and valorize qualitative and quantitative data from reports.
  • Advanced level of communication (written, oral & visual skills): impactful esthetic & strategic presentations to wide audience & top management
  • Ability to work in a complex, international & multidisciplinary environment. 
  • Entrepreneurial and proactive, high sense of prioritization, organization & flexibility.
  • Team player, excellent ability of cooperation & effective interaction with coworkers, internal & external stakeholders
