Responsibilities:
In this role, the EHS&S Specialist is responsible for the Montreal Head Office and Toronto campus. This position will report directly to the QEHS Director. In this capacity, the Specialists primary focus will be supporting the administrative sites, Retail locations and sales population. In addition, the specialist will work on transversal projects as assigned within the EHS discipline. The position will require some travel but with great flexibility.
Health and Safety
- Ensure EHS introduction for all
- Emergency preparedness activities /Emergency Plan maintenance
- Publish calendar of drills / training and other emergency preparedness drills - Send Word Now notices
- Conduct regular safety/housekeeping tours
- Provide contractor safety reviews during project kick off meetings
- Develop and deploy Ergonomics programs for the different populations
- AED/CPR/First Aid Training – training, team postings
- Implementation of Group EHS Directives such as Life Risk, Safety Improvement Process for all Site (SIP), and other requirements
- Monthly group reporting
- Develop and deploy sustainability programs adapted to the different the requirements and reality of the areas of the scope
- EHS Lead for field teams and Beauty advisors within the region
- Manage all risk assessment (SHAP). Provide Sites training on SHAP. Follow-up with Site SHAP teams to ensure the general SHAP is updated annually.
- Incident Event notification and Root Cause Analysis (RCA) lead
EHS Marketing
- Employee Engagement programs
- National Safety Month, EHS Week, International water day,…: campaign and events
Sustainability
- Work with Sustainability and facilities team to meet L4TF goals
- Work with building divisions on product donations
