TEAM AND CONTEXT:
Are you passionate about project management, sustainable development, innovation, and the environment? Under the supervision of the EHS and Maintenance Manager for the Supply Chain, as a Building and Sustainable Development Specialist, you will join a dynamic team constantly seeking new ideas.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
Your role is essential for ensuring the safety, functionality, and compliance of our facilities, while actively seeking opportunities for environmental improvement and energy efficiency. You will be responsible for various projects related to Environment, Building Maintenance, and Equipment Safety at L'Oréal Canada's distribution center, including the execution of works, and the planning and monitoring of maintenance. Specifically, you will be required to:
- Manage and collaborate closely with external contractors: this includes planning and managing their risk analyses, as well as their training and integration.
- Plan and sequence works, as well as the closure of corrective actions, with our internal teams to minimize operational disruptions and maximize efficiency.
- Ensure the safety validation of equipment and oversee the entire maintenance cycle of site equipment and infrastructure: this includes planning and monitoring maintenance, analyzing reports, and creating a maintenance schedule to identify trends and plan future works.
- Monitor major projects and manage various construction sites (e.g., fire protection in pallet racks, automation system).
- Identify and evaluate opportunities for sustainable development projects to improve the site's environmental performance (energy and water consumption, waste management).
- Actively contribute to site carbon neutrality and waste characterization (and source reduction).
- Provide technical expertise for building and infrastructure-related questions, ensuring compliance with internal directives and regulations.
YOUR PROFILE & EXPERIENCE:
- Bachelor's degree specialized in engineering, member of the OIQ.
- 2 to 4 years of relevant experience in sustainable development, safety, prevention, technical building management, or maintenance management, in an industrial environment (an asset).
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to find solutions to problems and manage priorities/unforeseen events.
- Organized, structured, autonomous, entrepreneurial, and curious.
- Proactive and capable of working effectively with internal teams and external providers.
- Flexible regarding working hours (potential for evenings and weekends) and on-site presence.
