Joining Travel Retail (the “sixth continent”) means becoming part of a dynamic, multicultural, and ever-evolving environment. As part of the Lancôme Marketing team, you will join the brand’s Merchandising team and play an active role in promoting the world’s leading luxury beauty brand. Your primary mission will be to implement Lancôme’s merchandising strategy across more than 400 stores in Europe.


Your missions :

As a member of the Retail Marketing team, your objectives will be concrete and your responsibilities stimulating. You will actively participate in:


Year 1: Learning the Fundamentals and Operational Support

The goal of this first year is to master the tools and best practices of luxury merchandising in Travel Retail.


  • Store Openings & Refits: You will assist project managers in creating opening presentations, drafting briefs, and coordinating the shipment of point-of-sale materials.
  • Visual Identity: You will participate in the development and adaptation of visuals for retail locations, ensuring the impact and consistency of the brand image.
  • Retail Excellence & Guidelines: You will monitor the implementation of the strategy in-store. You will draft precise guidelines to guide field teams.
  • Planograms: You will learn to design and optimize planograms to maximize product performance on the shelves.

 

Year 2: Skill Development, Analysis, and Autonomy

In your second year, you’ll take on greater responsibility for cross-functional projects and the management of external suppliers.


  • Database Updates: You’ll help update our tracking tools (store database and photo database).
  • Sustainable Merchandising (CSR): You will lead the development of locally produced point-of-sale displays to reduce the carbon footprint and optimize costs.
  • Launches & New Products: You will manage the rollout of materials related to new products (allocation, inventory tracking, and setup).


A few skills you will develop in this role:

Collaboration with various internal teams and external partners, studying and understanding consumer needs, innovation, data analysis, and project management. 

 

Your Profile

  • You are a student  BAC+2 from a retail/merchandising school or a university, and you are looking for a  2 years apprenticeship.
  • You are fluent in French and have a basic knowledge of English.
  • You have initial hands-on experience (internship or part-time job) in a retail store, preferably in the luxury sector, which has allowed you to develop a strong interest in merchandising and the customer experience.
  • You are proficient in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel and PowerPoint, which will be your daily tools.
  • You are creative and proactive in proposing ideas, organized, meticulous, proactive, responsive, and capable of working independently to successfully complete your projects over the course of these two years.

The Recruitment Process

  • Recruiter interview - 30 min: To introduce yourself and discuss the position & the L'Oréal Group.
  • Meeting with your potential future manager - 45 min: To discuss the missions of the role.
