Sales Trainee – L'Oréal Consumer Products Division

In the sales traineeship of 1.5 years, you will take on the challenge of a combined role as sales representative in the field for 3 days a week as well as building a strong collaboration with our commercial teams by a support role in the office for 2 days a week. At the same time, you will have get a strong commercial and general trainings plan. You will have a mentor in the commercial organization as well as a coach in the commercial leadership team. In this, you will have the unique opportunity to develop yourself and grow into a junior account Manager.
Your Impact: A Versatile Role with Many Possibilities
This role is twofold: you will actively work as a Sales Representative, visiting stores within your assigned sector, and on the other hand, you will be crucial for the administrative support and coordination of our Sales Team.
A. Sales Representative As a Sales Representative, you are the face of L'Oréal to our clients. You build relationships and optimize our presence in stores by:
- Conducting commercial negotiations with clients regarding assortment, promotions, and placement.
- Planning sales activities: You set routing and priorities for your visit schedules and missions.
- Optimizing the assortment at points of sale, aimed at maximizing sales and visibility.
- Providing category insights as an expert, through understanding of market and consumer trends.
- Ensuring optimal product displays in the store.
- Excellence in activation: You ensure flawless execution of product launches and promotions.
- Presenting our brands and products persuasively and effectively handling client questions or objections.
- Performing commercial calculations, including preparing sales forecasts.
- Identifying business opportunities and solving problems in the store.
B. Administrative Management As Administrative Support, you ensure efficient and accurate operational support for our sales & representatives team at the head office.
Your tasks will include:
- Creating and updating the catalogue in our CRM system.
- General administration for the Field Team and ensuring a streamlined process.
- Analyzing, extracting, and compiling sales data to support strategic decisions.
- Administrative support for meetings: You facilitate, coordinate, and prepare meetings.
- Support for merchandising-related activities.
- Project management.
In both pillars of the role, a close connection with the head office is crucial. You will work daily with various (Key) Account Managers and Marketing and Category Management teams where necessary. You will be supervised by the Field Manager, together with a close contact from the Group Account Manager of the Benelux Food Retail & Field Force team, of which you will be a part.
Your Growth Plan: From Junior to Strategic Force as (Key) Account Manager

- Fluent in Dutch and/or French and English.
