A Day in the Life
You will join L’Oréal’s Consumer Products Division in Montreal as a Demand Planner, reporting to the Demand Planning Manager. You will have the opportunity to collaborate closely with the Sales, Marketing, Finance, and Supply Chain teams. In this role, you will embody our entrepreneurial spirit by taking ownership of your forecasts to directly influence our brands' performance.
Your responsibilities will include:
- Forecast & Catalog Management: You will build the baseline sales forecast and manage the monthly sales forecasting cycle, while also handling product catalog rationalization.
- Forecast Governance: You will consolidate, challenge, and align promotional and launch forecasts with commercial teams, ensuring consistency with financial trends and sales history.
- Supply & Inventory Piloting: You will translate validated forecasts into a supply plan, defining optimal service and inventory levels to prevent stock-outs.
- Continuous Improvement: You will monitor forecast performance, propose process and tool improvements, and provide relevant analysis to various stakeholders.
We Are Looking For
We are looking for someone with a strong analytical mindset and a customer-centric approach, who can turn data into concrete strategies. Your ability to collaborate and influence in a cross-functional environment will be key to your success.
To succeed in this role, you ideally have the following skills:
- Mastery of data analysis and sales forecasting.
- Ability to collaborate effectively with different functions (Sales, Marketing, Finance).
- Knowledge of S&OP (Sales and Operations Planning) processes.
- Skills in inventory and replenishment planning.
- A continuous improvement mindset and proactive approach.
Strong proficiency in Excel is required, and knowledge of tools like SAP IBP or Anaplan is a plus. You are fluent in both French and English.
