A Day in the Life


As Medical Visit Leader for Central America, Ecuador, Venezuela and Paraguay, reporting to the Medical Director and the Market Leader, you'll be a key player in driving growth for L'Oréal Dermatological Beauty in this dynamic region. You'll lead and mentor a team of Medical Visitors, shaping their strategies and ensuring they're equipped with the latest tools and techniques to engage healthcare professionals effectively. This role demands a proactive, entrepreneurial spirit, leveraging cutting-edge technology and data-driven insights to maximize impact. You'll be instrumental in shaping the future of medical engagement within L'Oréal Dermatological Beauty in Central America.


  • Strategic Leadership: Define and implement the medical visit strategy for Central America, aligning with the Division's and brand's overall objectives. Analyze prescription potential, competitive landscapes, and regulatory environments to develop targeted action plans and budgets.
  • Team Empowerment: Build, train, and motivate a high-performing team of Medical Visitors. Set clear objectives, provide ongoing coaching and development, and leverage technology (CRM/CLM platform like Veeva) to monitor performance and ensure efficiency.
  • Innovative Engagement: Collaborate with marketing to design engaging tools and promotional activities that resonate with healthcare professionals. Propose innovative services and leverage digital resources to enhance engagement and knowledge sharing.
  • Cross-Functional Collaboration: Foster strong relationships with marketing, sales, and other relevant teams to ensure seamless collaboration and alignment. Champion ethical standards in all interactions with healthcare professionals.


We Are Looking For

 

The ideal candidate is a highly experienced and results-oriented leader with a passion for innovation and a proven track record in medical engagement. You are a strategic thinker, adept at analyzing data and translating insights into actionable plans. You thrive in a fast-paced environment and are comfortable leveraging technology to optimize performance. This role requires a strong understanding of the Central American healthcare landscape and the ability to build and maintain strong relationships with key stakeholders.


  • Leadership Expertise: 8-10 years of experience as a Medical Visitor, preferably with a solid track record in team leadership and management.
  • Scientific Acumen: University degree in a health-related field (Medicine, Pharmacy, Biology, Chemistry, or similar). A medical visitor's license and registration as a healthcare professional are required.
  • Digital Proficiency: Proven experience managing CRM tools (Veeva preferred), e-learning platforms, and mobile applications, or other digital resources commonly used in the pharmaceutical/dermatological industry.
  • Communication Skills: Excellent oral and written communication skills, with the ability to convey complex scientific information clearly and persuasively, both in Spanish and English.
  • Data-Driven Approach: Ability to set ambitious goals, develop action plans, monitor KPIs, and analyze ROI.
