Role Summary
This role will manage plant Facilities, utility systems daily operations as well as their maintenance programs. This role will also be responsible for the maintenance and technical support for the processing systems and equipment. The role includes supervision and direction setting to technical maintenance staff covering 24x7 production schedule. Managing or assisting in capital projects associated to facilities, utilities and processing systems will be required as well.
Responsibilities
- Daily Direction Setting to technical maintenance staff, defining priorities and tracking execution.
- Implementation, execution and continuous improvement of maintenance strategy and plan to support site operation and avoid business interruptions.
- Ensure Maintenance Management Systems are being properly utilized and develop maintenance effectiveness program.
- Responsible for developing budgets, controlling costs and approve contracts to deliver plant commitments.
- Oversees the functioning of all building systems including mechanical, electrical, fire/life safety, plumbing, and waste management.
- Ensure critical systems are following local regulations and L’Oreal corporate requirements.
- Ensures building operations comply with all local zoning laws and regulations.
- Participate in the design, planning, construction and maintenance of company facilities, utilities systems and processing equipment.
- Oversee facility & utilities and processing capital projects as needed.
- Oversees contractors involved in facility projects and maintenance activities, following all L’Oreal Safety and Quality requirements.
- Support and lead the L'Oreal safety, health, and environmental programs of L'Oreal USA.
- Train, coach, and develop the technical staff.
- Manage, assist, or effect the procurement of new equipment or spare parts.
- Maintain an effective labor/employee relations environment.
- Develop, implement, and oversee all necessary record systems.
- Manage, implement, and support all L'Oreal policies including, but not limited to, the Corporation's Equal Employment Opportunity policy.
- Perform other duties as necessary or required.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree, preferably in Mechanical or Chemical Engineering or relevant experience in the field.
- 10 Years of experience in technical capacity involving comparable equipment and systems.
- Knowledge and ability to conceptualize and develop in areas of tooling, product handling equipment, production machinery and operational methods.
- Solid technical experience in core mechanical, electrical, and electronic field.
- Work well in a fast-paced environment and be able to manage multiple priorities simultaneously.
- Demonstrate excellent people management skills including the ability to develop a team of individuals capable of producing extraordinary results.
- Demonstrate the L’Oreal competencies including but not limited to creative problem solving, decision making, achievement orientation, cultivation of talent and strong communication skills.
