What You Will Lean: 

As a Sourcing Indirect Manager, you will be responsible for developing, providing, and implementing sourcing strategies and managing supplier relationships while practicing formalized sourcing best practices. You will drive value by identifying and implementing cost-savings initiatives, improving the quality of L’Oréal’s supplier base, and optimizing performance across L’Oréal USA.

In this position, you will act as a strategic partner to the business, managing multiple high-priority initiatives simultaneously. You will be expected to work in close collaboration with stakeholders across multiple departments to align sourcing goals with broader business objectives. Furthermore, you will regularly coordinate with global colleagues and worldwide category teams to leverage international expertise, ensuring the best possible value is delivered to L’Oréal USA.

This role provides the opportunity to enhance invaluable business skills through training, networking, and on-the-job experience. You will work on existing and emerging areas of services and technologies while ensuring L’Oréal’s values and processes are upheld.

Your Responsibilities:

  • Strategy Implementation: Support the implementation of Worldwide (WW) and US Indirect Sourcing strategies across the L’Oréal USA business.
  • Multi-Project Management: Prepare and lead purchasing projects, defining objectives, resources, and timelines. Effectively manage multiple initiatives at the same time, ensuring all deadlines and quality standards are met.
  • Spend Management: Consolidate and manage L’Oréal USA spend, investments, and initiatives to identify optimization opportunities.
  • Cross-Functional Stakeholder Management: Identify and address the needs of stakeholders across multiple departments, ensuring transparency and alignment on market trends and innovations.
  • Global Coordination: Regularly collaborate with worldwide category teams and global counterparts to gather input, align on priorities, and implement best practices that bring the best value to the USA market.
  • Agency & Supplier Relations: Lead supplier relationships with internal stakeholders; onboard new partners and consolidate performance evaluations and KPIs.
  • Market Benchmarking: Perform benchmarking with "best in class" entities on the local market to ensure competitive positioning.
  • Deal Negotiation: Manage project-based deals, contracts, and master service agreements.
  • Continuous Improvement: Identify Year-over-Year (YoY) initiatives (savings, process improvements, etc.) and develop a roadmap for implementation.
  • Research & Reporting: Provide regular spend reports across categories and support key initiatives through research and strategic development.

 

What We Are Looking For:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Life Sciences, Physical Sciences, Regulatory Affairs,  Economics, Engineering, Data Analytics, Marketing, or a related discipline; MBA or other advanced degree preferred.
  • 5+ years of experience preferably within a Sourcing/Procurement team with experience in strategic sourcing and category management.
  • Strong negotiation skills and the ability to influence partners across different levels of the organization.
  • Advanced project management and analytical skills with the ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment.
  • Autonomous with a high level of drive, energy, and a self-starter mindset.
  • Excellent oral and written communication and presentation skills.
  • Curious, "out of the box" thinker and a dedicated team player.
  • Ability to develop a strategic Point of View on emerging market trends and technologies.
