Location: 175 Terminal Ave. Clark, NJ with travel once a week to CT

A Day in the Life
As a Manager on the PPD Sourcing Team, you’ll play a pivotal role in supporting the brand’s worldwide growth, profitability ambitions, product launches, and sustainability goals. You’ll collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver the best turnkey solutions for the brand. The ideal candidate will be driven, comfortable working in a fast-paced environment, possesses sourcing experience and soft skills to drive strategic initiatives.

Here’s a snapshot of your responsibilities:

  • Product Launch Excellence: Lead worldwide RFQs, negotiate on behalf of sister zones, and manage supplier selection and implementation. Partner with technical packaging and supply chain teams to ensure flawless execution. Communicate and drive Sourcing strategies to the key Business stakeholders, in accordance with the Global Purchasing Strategy
  • Strategic Sourcing: Translate market insights into sourcing actions to drive top and bottom-line improvements. Lead Money-to-Value (MTV) discussions and support innovation aligned with supplier capabilities.
  • Stakeholder Engagement: Present key financial updates (PPV, Trend, Budget) and share purchasing-driven results with internal stakeholders. Act as the primary point of contact for brands and plants.
  • Supplier Management: Validate pricing, manage operational and financial performance, and mitigate risks. Ensure timely resolution of issues and maintain strong supplier relationships. Own the supplier relationship and monitor the supplier performance through SRM program: Quality, Supply, Competitiveness, Innovation and Sustainability. Crisis Resolution - Identify risks and develop mitigation plans to ensure the supply chain continuity

                Innovation & Sustainability: Support the L’Oréal Group with its ambition to reach its 2030 Sustainability commitments through sustainable, green, and ethical sourcing. Partner with Brand Development on innovations for full buy formulations & strategic partnerships with contract manufacturers.

Here’s what you’ll bring:

  • Core Skills: Financial and analytical aptitude, influencing and negotiation skills, and exceptional Excel and PowerPoint proficiency.
  • Experience: Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Engineering, Supply Chain, or a related field, with 5+ years of purchasing experience.
  • Leadership: Strong presence, self-confidence, and the ability to foster collaboration across diverse teams.
  • Judgment: A knack for timing, prioritization, and adhering to L’Oréal’s ethical principles.
