A Day in the Life As the Head of Scientific Advisory for the UK and Ireland, you will lead a team of scientific advisors, acting as the central source of scientific expertise for our brands. You will be pivotal in translating complex science into compelling, consumer-facing claims, ensuring we communicate with integrity and impact. This strategic role involves close collaboration with Brand, Legal, and Corporate Affairs teams to uphold our scientific credibility in the market.


Lead Scientific Strategy & Development: Motivate and guide your team, fostering a culture of knowledge-sharing and ensuring consistent, high-quality review of all scientific claims and content.

Ensure Claim Integrity & Compliance: Oversee the validation of all product efficacy and usage claims on communications, including packaging and advertising, ensuring they are compelling and compliant with regulations.

Drive Cross-Functional Collaboration: Build strong relationships with Brand, Legal, and Marketing teams, providing strategic scientific support and advice across all product categories.

Champion Scientific Credibility: Act as the technical representative for our brands at press launches and manage submissions to advertising authorities, safeguarding our science with regulatory bodies.


We Are Looking For To succeed in this role, you must have a proven track record within the cosmetics industry, underpinned by strong technical skills and scientific expertise. You are a confident and diplomatic leader who excels at translating complex science into clear, engaging language. We are looking for someone who can:


Manage Challenging Stakeholders: Expertly navigate and influence diverse internal and external stakeholders, demonstrating resilience and the ability to align on scientifically sound outcomes.

Apply Deep Technical Expertise: Utilize your robust scientific background to scrutinize data, substantiate claims, and act as the ultimate authority on product science and efficacy.

Lead with Integrity: Put the consumer at the heart of every decision, managing a team to ensure all scientific communication is honest and accurate.

Communicate with Impact: Articulate complex scientific concepts simply and fluently to a variety of audiences, from brand marketers to regulatory bodies.

Solve Creatively: Apply strong analytical skills to overcome regulatory hurdles and find innovative, compliant solutions for claim substantiation.
