A Day in the Life

As a Global Payroll Lead at L'Oréal, you'll be at the heart of our global HR transformation, optimizing payroll operations for our 90,000+ employees worldwide. You will be working closely with the Global Payroll Process Owner within the "One Payroll" initiative, overseen by the Deputy CHRO. This global team, comprised of HR Solution specialists, Payroll specialists, and Change & Adoption officers, collaborates to ensure accurate, compliant, and efficient payroll processing across all zones. Based in our Paris headquarters, you'll be part of a dynamic, international team, offering a unique opportunity to "run it like your own business." From day one, you'll have the autonomy to shape your role, drive innovation, and make a tangible impact on L'Oréal's global payroll landscape.

  • Process Harmonization: Collaborate with the Global Payroll Process Owner to implement and maintain a comprehensive global payroll framework, ensuring consistency and adherence to L’Oréal’s standards.  Take ownership of developing and updating documentation, templates, and training materials for One Payroll processes.
  • Performance Optimization: Analyze payroll data, consolidate key indicators, and monitor Payroll KPIs.  Proactively challenge the payroll provider on performance and coordinate action plans. Identify areas for improvement and innovation with the Zones, driving efficiency and cost-effectiveness.
  • Zone Collaboration: Provide expert guidance and support to the Zones, acting as a trusted advisor and problem-solver. Investigate and resolve escalated issues, working with the vendor and L’Oréal stakeholders to ensure seamless payroll operations worldwide.
  • Technology Enhancement: Liaise with Payroll Solution to drive the optimal usage of the global payroll solution.  Monitor the progress of payroll engine projects, ensuring alignment with business objectives.  Contribute to the One Payroll roadmap by identifying innovative solutions using industry and in-house benchmarks, pushing the boundaries of what's possible in global payroll technology.

We Are Looking For

  • Payroll Management: Deep understanding of payroll principles, regulations, and best practices. Proven experience in global payroll operations (7-10 years).
  • HR Tools and Processes Mastery: Proficiency in HR systems, tools, and processes. Experience with payroll technology and systems.
  • Stakeholder Management: Ability to build strong relationships and influence stakeholders at all levels. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Data Analysis: Strong analytical skills to interpret data, identify trends, and drive data-informed decisions.  Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel and PowerPoint.
  • Entrepreneurial Spirit:  A proactive, results-oriented mindset with a passion for innovation and continuous improvement.  A future-oriented approach and a desire to "make your mark" on L'Oréal's global payroll operations.
