We are searching for a highly organized and motivated Transport Coordinator to join our dynamic Logistics and Warehouse team in the Redbank area. In this role, you will play a crucial role in making sure our warehouse operations run smoothly and our products are delivered efficiently. You will also be responsible for coordinating all aspects of transportation, ensuring timely and cost-effective delivery while maintaining strict adherence to safety regulations.

 

ABOUT THE JOB  

 

 Transportation Planning & Execution:

  • Plan and coordinate daily transportation activities, including route optimization, carrier selection, and load planning.
  • Manage relationships with freight carriers and negotiate competitive rates.
  • Prepare and process all necessary shipping documentation, including bills of lading, packing lists, and customs paperwork (if applicable).
  • Track shipments in real-time and proactively resolve any delays or issues that may arise.

Warehouse Collaboration & Communication:

  • Work closely with the warehouse team to ensure smooth loading and unloading of shipments.
  • Communicate effectively with internal stakeholders regarding shipment status and any potential disruptions.
  • Coordinate with the customer service team to address delivery inquiries and resolve customer concerns promptly.

Data Analysis & Continuous Improvement:

  • Analyze transportation data to identify trends, optimize routes, and improve delivery performance.
  • Identify opportunities for cost savings and process improvements within the transportation function.
  • Maintain accurate records of transportation activities and prepare regular performance reports.

 

ABOUT YOU

  • Proven experience as a Transport Coordinator or in a similar role within a fast-paced logistics or warehouse environment.
  • Strong understanding of transportation regulations, documentation, and best practices.
  • Proficient in using transportation management systems (TMS) and other relevant software.
  • Excellent organizational, time management, and problem-solving skills.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build relationships with both internal and external stakeholders.
  • Ability to multitask and prioritize tasks effectively. 
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
