We seek a highly motivated and experienced Digital Information Technology Business Analyst to bridge IT and business needs, focusing on data privacy-compliant technology solutions.  This role will analyze, design, and implement solutions, advocating for "privacy by design" in all digital initiatives to ensure regulatory compliance.  You will be the IT point person for data privacy and OneTrust questions, requests and initiatives. 

 

What you will do: 

  • Requirements Gathering: Elicit, analyze, document, and validate business and data privacy compliance needs, translating them into clear functional and non-functional requirements. This includes stakeholder interviews and translating business needs into actionable technical requirements. 
  • OneTrust Expertise: Become a OneTrust subject matter expert, leveraging your knowledge to analyze data privacy requests, define, and configure platform solutions. 
  • Collaboration: Work closely with data privacy officers, business stakeholders and internal/external technology teams to ensure alignment on project requirements, data governance, and compliance. Effectively communicate technical concepts to technical and non-technical audiences, including communicating risks and project status to program leadership. 
  • Solution Design: Develop detailed solution designs, process flows, data models, and user stories incorporating privacy best practices. Create and maintain comprehensive project documentation, including processes and templates. 
  • Testing & QA: Participate in testing activities, developing test strategies, and managing test execution to ensure solutions meet requirements and privacy standards. Develop test cases focused on data privacy and security. 
  • Data Analysis: Analyze data to understand trends, inform solution design, and support data-driven decisions. 
  • Continuous Improvement: Actively seek opportunities to improve Data Privacy Team ways of working and documentation. Stay abreast of industry best practices and emerging technologies, particularly with the OneTrust platform. 

 

What we are looking for:  

  • Bachelor's degree in information technology, Computer Science, Business Administration, or a related field. 
  • 5-10 years of relevant experience with a proven track record delivering privacy and identity data projects. Retail/e-commerce experience preferred. 
  • Willingness to learn data privacy principles, regulations, and best practices (e.g., CCPA). 
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and critical thinking skills.  
  • Ability to work independently and proactively. 
  • Excellent written and verbal communication, interpersonal, and collaboration skills. Ability to build strong relationships with diverse stakeholders. 
  • Experience with OneTrust and ServiceNow preferred. 
  • Strong organization and project coordination skills.
