Job Title: Buyer, Direct Sourcing (PPD)

A Day in the Life As a Buyer, you will work with management oversight to support the development and implementation of sourcing initiatives across L’Oréal USA. You will exhibit a high level of independent judgment and critical thinking within the scope of your role to optimize costs and enhance supplier value. You will be expected to balance analytical rigor with the ability to influence and build trust-based relationships with your business partners.
What You Will Do:
- Business Impact & Analysis: Identify and analyze business requirements, proactively challenging needs to ensure the best turnkey solutions for the brand.
- Strategic Sourcing Process: Manage short-term or non-recurrent RFPs and apply the standard L’Oréal Sourcing process to drive top and bottom-line improvements.
- Project Management: Anticipate specific divisional projects and manage small to mid-size Projects while ensuring timely execution.
- Operational Excellence: Provide guidance on the best buying approaches in R2P tools (MyMarket/MySourcing) and ensure compliance with all data requirements.
- Supplier Relationship Management: Lead the daily management of supplier relationships, validating pricing and proposing improvements (Catalogs, PSL, Rate Cards) to increase efficiency.
- Collaboration: Effectively collaborate across sourcing teams (Hub, Data, and Business teams) to implement zone and global initiatives.

Hard Skills & Experience:
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Engineering, Supply Chain, or a related field.
- Experience: 1+ years of experience in Sourcing or Procurement.
- Technical Proficiency: Exceptional Excel and PowerPoint skills; a high degree of financial and analytical aptitude.
- Communication: Clear and timely communication skills with the ability to adjust your style to different audiences (stakeholders, plants, and suppliers).

- Salary Range: $65,000 - $91,500 (The actual compensation will depend on a variety of job-related factors which may include geographic location, work experience, education, and skill level)
