Job Summary:

The Application Domain Scientist will play a crucial role within the innovation team, driving the development of inclusive hair technologies that meet and exceed consumer expectations. This involves leading research efforts, validating innovation phases, and ensuring scientific rigor throughout the development process. The successful candidate will also contribute to protecting L'Oréal's intellectual property, maintain a safe laboratory environment, and effectively communicate the value of innovations to stakeholders.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Innovation Development: Spearhead the development of cutting-edge, inclusive hair technologies that deliver demonstrable results aligned with consumer needs and expectations.
  • Scientific Validation: Conduct rigorous research, coordinate experiments, and validate all phases of innovation development, providing regular updates on technology availability and progress.
  • Intellectual Property: Contribute to monitoring scientific, technological, and patent landscapes to safeguard L'Oréal's intellectual property.
  • Safety and Compliance: Ensure adherence to all safety regulations and procedures within the laboratory environment.
  • Communication and Advocacy: Articulate the value proposition of innovations through compelling presentations and product pitches. Provide expert input and guidance on technical and regulatory matters, ensuring alignment with L'Oréal's communication strategies and brand positioning.

Education and Experience:

  • M.Sc. in Chemistry or a related field (Ph.D. preferred).
  • 3-5 years of hands-on experience in hair product formulation.
  • Proven track record of successful innovation and product development.
