JOB TITLE: Distribution Resource Planning Analyst

REPORTS TO: Manager Inventory Planning

 

JOB SUMMARY:

The Distribution Resource Planning (DRP) Analyst is a pivotal role within the SalonCentric supply chain, responsible for the end-to-end management of replenishment strategies across our national network of Distribution Centers (DCs), Fulfillment Centers (FCs), and retail stores. This role acts as a strategic bridge between Supply Planning, Demand Planning, and Marketing, ensuring optimal product availability while maximizing inventory efficiency. The Analyst will leverage data-driven insights to solve complex inventory challenges and drive the success of promotional launches and category growth.

 

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Replenishment Strategy & Execution: Manage and optimize replenishment cycles for a dedicated portfolio of brands across Stores and Fulfillment Centers, ensuring high service levels and on-shelf availability.
  • Operational Efficiency: Execute and refine order rounding strategies to achieve logistical KPIs, balancing freight efficiency with inventory precision.
  • Inventory Health Monitoring: Conduct daily deep-dives into inventory positions (units and financial value) to ensure data accuracy and maintain lean, effective stocking levels.
  • Brand Catalog Stewardship: Validate and optimize brand catalogs within the fulfillment network, collaborating with Sales and Operations to implement best-in-class stocking practices.
  • Seasonal & Promotional Management: Analyze and adjust stocking levels dynamically to support seasonal spikes and promotional events, ensuring the network is prepared for demand volatility.
  • Cross-Functional Partnership: Act as the primary Supply Chain liaison for Category Management, Marketing, and Planning teams to synchronize strategies for new product launches, assortment resets, and specialized events.
  • Lifecycle Management: Identify high-velocity promotional and flow items; collaborate with Supply and Demand Planning to ensure sustainable stock positions throughout the product lifecycle, including aggressive end-of-life (EOL) planning for phased-out SKUs.
  • Network Expansion: Provide analytical support and inventory modeling for the opening of new retail locations and Fulfillment Centers.
  • Performance Analytics: Develop and socialize high-impact KPI reporting to identify supply chain risks; proactively partner with cross-functional teams to design and implement corrective solutions.

 

REQUIREMENTS

  • Education: Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain, Business, Economics, or a related field.
  • Technical Skills: Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel is required. Experience with SAP (ERP) and Anaplan (Cloud Planning) is highly preferred.
  • Communication: Strong verbal and written communication skills with the ability to influence cross-functional partners at various levels.
  • Analytical Rigor: Exceptional problem-solving skills with a high degree of organizational ability and time management.
  • Agility: A proactive mindset with the flexibility to adjust schedules as needed to meet the fast-paced demands of the beauty industry.
  • Authorization: Must have long-term authorization to work in the U.S.
