A Day in the Life
As an Accounting & Methods Compliance Senior Analyst, you will join our Compliance and Methods Department within BEST (Business, Expertise, Services & Technologies) in Clichy, France. You will be an essential pillar in ensuring the accuracy and harmonization of our accounting practices for about forty L'Oréal entities in France. Reporting to the Department Head, you will act as a true expert and partner to the operational teams.
Your key responsibilities will include:
- Standards Monitoring and Application: You will monitor regulatory developments for accounting standards (French GAAP and IFRS) and oversee their correct application, in collaboration with accounting, management control, and project teams.
- Technical Expertise: You will provide support on complex technical topics, such as employee benefits, and ensure the production of reference documents.
- Master Data Management: You will be the guardian of our chart of accounts, ensuring its compliance and harmonization by validating creation requests and ensuring the consistency of our accounting frameworks.
- Continuous Improvement: You will play a key role in identifying challenges or weaknesses and proposing solutions to optimize our processes and information systems (SAP).
We Are Looking For
We are looking for someone with strong technical expertise and an excellent spirit of cooperation. Here are the skills that will enable you to succeed in this role:
- Accounting Expertise: Deep understanding of French and IFRS accounting standards and their operational implications. Experience with SAP is a plus.
- Data Management: Ability to manage and harmonize complex data (master data) to ensure its compliance and quality.
- Cross-functional Collaboration: Ease of working with various stakeholders (accounting, controlling, IT, tax) to lead and complete transversal projects.
- Communication: Excellent ability to synthesize, communicate, and report information clearly and effectively to all levels of the organization.
- Problem-Solving: Proactive in identifying challenges and finding pragmatic solutions, with a strong internal client service mindset.
You hold a degree in accounting (DSCG or equivalent) with significant professional experience and are fluent in English.
