Your missions :

As a member of the Category Management team, your objectives will be concrete and your responsibilities stimulating. You'll actively participe in : 

  • Market and Category Performance Analysis: You will monitor and analyze market trends, product category performance (sales, profitability, market share), and consumer behavior to identify opportunities and challenges.
  • Contribution to Category Strategy: You will assist in developing the strategy for product categories, in alignment with marketing and commercial objectives, to optimize growth and profitability.
  • Assortment and Merchandising Optimization: You will contribute to defining the most relevant product offering for different distribution channels and recommend effective merchandising plans based on consumer and distributor insights. 
  • Cross-functional Collaboration : You will work in close synergy with Marketing, Sales, Trade Marketing and Supply Chain teams to ensuire consistency and proper execution of category plans. 
  • Competitive Intelligence and Innovation Identification : You will monitor competitors' actions, study their product and category strategies, and identify relevant innovations for L'Oréal



A few skills you will develop in this role:

Collaboration with various internal teams and external partners, studying and understanding consumer needs, innovation, data analysis, and project management.

Beyond  technical skills, we are above all looking for individuals with strong potential, an entrepreneurial mindset, and the ability to challenge the status quo.

Market and consumer data analysis, category strategy definition, product assortment management, crossfunctional collaboration, and competitive intelligence.


Your Profile

  • You are a Master's student (Bac+4/5) from a business school, university, or engineering school (specilisation in Marketing, Category Management, Business Development), looking for a one-year apprenticeship contract.
  • You are able to provide an apprenticeship or professionalization contract issued by a training organization.
  • You are proficient in data analysis tools (advanced Excel), PowerPoint for clear presentations, and ideally have knowledge of or an interest in panel tools (Nielsen, IRI) or CRM.
  • Your curiosity for consumer behavior is an asset.
  • You are fluent in English and/or French.

  • Recruiter interview - 30 min: To introduce yourself and discuss the position & the L'Oréal Group.
  • Meeting with your potential future manager - 45 min: To discuss the missions of the role.
