12-MONTH APPRENTICESHIP - Starting September 2025 – [JUNIOR FORMULATION SCIENTIST] - Master 1/2

Life is too short for a boring career! 🚀

At L'Oréal Group, routine doesn't exist. Here, Formulation is the art of the possible: it is the "kitchen" of beauty where scientific creativity transforms raw molecules and natural extracts into iconic textures and high-performance products.

Our work environment should thrill us as much as our passions. Within Research & Innovation (R&I), you will explore the frontiers of science—from Colloidal Chemistry and Green Sciences to Beauty Tech—to invent the beauty of tomorrow. The opportunities to grow here are... limitless.

  • 90% of our apprentices are proud to work for the L’Oréal Group.
  • 88% of our apprentices recommend L’Oréal for an internship or apprenticeship. (Internal “Care Connect Survey,” November 2025)

Ready to shape the future of beauty? Don't waste any time and discover our offer.

Your Missions As an apprentice in Formulation, you will be at the heart of product creation. You will work on disruptive projects, from hair care and skin care to fragrance and color cosmetics. Depending on your specific lab, you will participate in:

  • Innovative Formulation & Design: Developing new galenics (emulsions, gels, aerosols, anhydrous sticks) while integrating sustainable alternatives to fossil-based polymers and conventional ingredients.
  • Scientific Monitoring & Literature Review: Conducting state-of-the-art research on new raw materials, biological pathways (e.g., anti-acne, senescence), and eco-friendly technologies (Green Sciences, circular economy).
  • Characterization & Physical Chemistry: Using advanced methods (rheology, colorimetry, microscopy, stability testing) to decrypt the microstructure of your formulas and ensure optimal performance.
  • Process & Scale-up: Mastering the impact of manufacturing parameters (shear, temperature, order of addition) to ensure a seamless transition from the lab beaker to industrial production.
  • Sensoriality & Evaluation: Collaborating with clinical and sensory teams to optimize the "user experience"—ensuring that stability and efficacy always go hand-in-hand with a unique sensorial touch.
  • Project Management: Organizing trials, analyzing data, maintaining your lab notebook, and presenting your findings to cross-functional teams (Safety, Regulatory, Microbiology, and Marketing).

Skills you will develop: Scientific rigor, mastery of formulation science, eco-design mindset (L'Oréal for the Future), data analysis, project management, and collaborative work in an international R&D environment.
