The Global IT Vendor Management team at L'Oréal plays a critical role in ensuring we collaborate with the best technology partners across the globe. We are responsible for optimizing vendor relationships, managing risks, and driving value from our strategic partnerships. As an IT Vendor Management apprentice, you will be directly involved in supporting key vendor management processes and initiatives, with a focus on improving efficiency and transparency.

This opportunity will allow you to develop a strong understanding of IT vendor lifecycle management within a global organization. You will collaborate with experienced professionals and contribute directly to impactful projects. Rare opportunity to join a team at the heart of the IT strategy.
    

MISSIONS:   

  • Vendor Data Management: Assist in maintaining accurate vendor records, including ID cards and contact information.
  • Spend Analysis: Contribute to the analysis of vendor spend data to identify trends, optimization and opportunities.
  • Delivery Center Assessment:  Support the evaluation of vendor delivery centers, examining factors like capacity, capabilities, and geographical reach.
  • External Workforce Management: Assist with tracking and reporting on external resources, ensuring compliance with company policies.
  • Performance Management: Support the creation and maintenance of vendor scorecards, tracking key performance indicators (KPIs) and service levels.
  • Business Reviews: Participate in the preparation and execution of vendor business reviews, documenting action items and outcomes.
  • Technology Mapping:  Assist in mapping vendor technologies to L'Oréal's IT landscape to ensure alignment and identify potential synergies.
  • Onboarding Process Improvement: Contribute to the development and improvement of onboarding materials for new vendors.

What do you need to apply? 

  • You are a student with a master’s degree in engineering School or Business / University. 
  • You can provide an apprenticeship agreement of 12 months with your school. 
  • You have strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, PowerPoint, Word).
  • A self-starter with a proactive and eager-to-learn attitude.

A 30-minute interview with a recruiter will allow you to present your personality and explore the opportunities that match your profile.

How much responsibility will I have as an Apprentice? 

As an apprentice at L’Oréal, you will be welcomed as a full member of a team, with your scope and responsibilities. Of course, you will not be alone: your manager will provide you with objectives and a vision. However, to succeed you will need to keep in mind that you play the main part in your journey and future projection in the Group. Entrepreneurship spirit is key.

 

Will I have a chance to land a job after my Apprenticeship? 

We take our interns and apprentices very seriously. So yes, it is our ultimate goal! In average, each year, former interns and apprentices fulfill 70% of our junior job needs. A very large number of our current employees at all levels have come through this type of experience. 

 

I do not know anything about cosmetics: do I stand a chance? 

Less than one-third of our apprentices have had previous experiences in the beauty industry. We give more credit to other essential qualities such as entrepreneurial spirit, innovation, and the ability to question and dare.
