Being part of the LDB (L’Oréal Dermatological Beauty) division will give you direct influence in achieving our mission: to help everyone in their quest for healthy and beautiful skin. We are the world leader in Dermocosmetics, with international skincare brands recommended by healthcare professionals and distributed in healthcare outlets worldwide, including, pharmacies, clinics, spas, e-retailers…

Our portfolio is composed of 4 brands offering a wide range of skincare and haircare: La Roche-Posay, Vichy, CeraVe and SkinCeuticals. The products respond to all expectations linked to beauty and health of the skin: from dermatological and aesthetics skincare to natural solutions, from the most accessible ranges to the most premium ones.



Who am I?

As Retail Brand Manager Belgium you are part of a multidisciplinary marketing team and within it, you are the ‘Retail Champion’, the expert when it comes to shopper journeys. You oversee lower funnel strategy of the brand, together with your colleague RBM and the Brand Business Lead. Analyzing, using and evaluating the most effective marketing touchpoints in the consumer journey that contribute to conversion (e.g. sampling/testers, POS materials, merchandising, windows, GWP’s). You are responsible for the budget, and making sure you grow the brand’s market share and enhance the brand equity.

You are analytical strong but pragmatic when the situation requires. As a person you are determined to make a great impact by taking initiatives and sharing your ideas. It is important to feel comfortable to collaborate with different stakeholders and that you know how to convince them if necessary. You have an interest or experience/studies related to the medical field.  Furthermore, you are open minded and supportive towards new initiatives.



My responsibilities:

The Retail Brand Manager has a very diverse set of tasks, consisting of:


Shopper insights

  • Own and drive category shopper insights for the Belgium market;
  • Observe and analyze competitor behavior and market trends;
  • Track brand performance in sell-in & out to make the right strategic choices.


 Brand equity

  1. Own brand identity/DNA;
  2. Guardian of the product/axe/brand expression on-&off-line: ward for consistency in all touchpoints, despite driving differentiated trade plans;
  3. Be the marketing point of contact for sales, but also be the voice of the needs of clients within the marketing team (by participating client meetings).


Portfolio management

  • Forecasting finished goods and samples per channel, oversee total impact;
  • Challenge PBM on media plans, or adapt retail activation plan when relevant;


360 Lead

  • Ensure strong marketing plan with a 360 approach, with perfect execution across channels (O+O) while expressing our medical equity;
  • Roll out the right tailor-made shopper strategy, to reach consumers on the right touchpoint;
  • Budget responsible (POS materials, samples, gifts, etc). 


This position requires strong interpersonal and communication skills. To successfully perform this role, you will work together with:

  • The Product Brand Managers, responsible for launch and media strategy
  • The Online Brand Manager, who is ensuring the brand equity & strategy on eCommerce
  • The Marketing Coordinator, who provides marketing support in, e.g. coordination of codes, price lists, events.
  • The entire Sales team, collaborating closely together to make tailor-made activation plans per channel, per client
  • The Supply Chain team, collaborating closely together to forecast properly following your activation plans
  • The Brand Business Leader you report to.



Your profile

You are analytical strong but pragmatic when the situation requires. You have affinity with media & digital. It is important to feel comfortable to collaborate with different stakeholders and that you know how to convince them if necessary. Furthermore, you are open minded and supportive towards new initiatives.



Our ideal candidate has:

  • Obtained a Master Degree, preferably with a scientific background (=not a must) 
  • At least 3 years of (retail/shopper) marketing experience
  • Experience with fast and effective internal and external stakeholder management.
  • You are organized, pro-active and can switch quickly between tasks, brands, categories and stakeholders. You know how to tackle things and you always get the job done.
  • Fluent in English and native in either French or Dutch
