Paid Media Manager – Programmatic Advertising (Amazon)

The L’Oreal Active Cosmetics Division (ACD) is looking for a passionate, bright and energetic digital candidate to join the ACD eBusiness team, responsible for driving sales on accounts on Amazon and eRetail accounts.

The Programmatic Manager is responsible for creating and executing programmatic display ads using the Amazon DSP platform. This includes managing the Amazon media budget, monitoring performance for spend and bid adjustments, creating custom audience, developing and implementing granular, strategic targeting frameworks, performance analyses, insight generation and reporting.

The position requires the candidate to exercise discretion and independent judgment, and proactively problem solves with immediate and cross-functional teams. Works alongside passionate teammates on shared accounts to take a holistic approach to digital media activation to ensure success for the business. Has a strong partnership with the account and brand teams on Amazon initiatives to implement precision advertising via Amazon DSP.

The ideal candidate will be personable, confident, self-motivated, analytically inclined with proficiency in Microsoft Excel and BI tools for accuracy and efficiency. The ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment will be a vital aspect of the role.

Candidate must have Programmatic / Display Advertising experience. Robust understanding of Amazon's DSP and the programmatic media buying process to be able to develop tactical, effective campaigns based on business needs. Must be a clear communicator, outgoing and able to champion ideas and strategic point of views with internal and external stakeholders. Strong emphasis on attention to detail, curiosity and interest to discover valuable insights to action. Overall Responsibilities 

Advertise – Paid Media Campaigns

  • Develop and execute programmatic display, mobile and video ads via DSP: line items with custom-built audiences, strategic exclusions, dynamic creative assets etc.
  • Coordinate with internal stakeholders for advertising inputs such as assets, headlines, consistent brand messaging and tests for business development
  • Revise or optimize campaigns in the DSP UI per market/competitive research, visibility tracking, and other related influences for improvement
  • Contribute to the development of strategies for Amazon paid campaigns, including developing strategic roadmaps, test plans, and risk/benefit analysis
  • Strong liaising with marketing to ensure campaigns are on strategy for the brands, and strong partnership with the sales team to ensure campaigns are on strategy with business objectives and real time updates
  • Lead with a consultative approach to grow existing and new businesses, educate greater team about DSP / Programmatic Ads
  • Partner with the L’Oreal programmatic team of traders and planners to leverage and share best practices

Analyze – Paid Media Performance

  • Daily and weekly monitoring and analysis of all advertising campaigns including, but not limited to revenue, campaign performance, DPV and conversion rates, ROAS
  • Aggregate data across brands & multiple different reporting systems, analyzing results and developing actionable insights
  • Turn data into a story to provide scheduled updates to respective brand teams & key stakeholders on the status of the business
  • Prepare high-impact presentations to share performance metrics and best practices

  • 3+ Years of relevant career experience, with 1+ years’ experience trading programmatic campaigns required.  Experience at an agency, DSP or Ad Network strongly preferred.
  • Have a strong background in advertising and media planning, Digital marketing, search engine marketing, programmatic advertising
  • Excellent written, oral, and interpersonal communication skills
  • Experience with Amazon or other retail media channels
  • Advanced in Excel, data analysis and visual modeling
  • Strong analytical abilities and quantitative skills
  • Experience analyzing performance data and summarizing / communicating findings via reports and impactful presentations
  • Proactive and results oriented thinker who would flourish in an entrepreneurial environment where new ideas are championed
  • Must demonstrate strong analytical, critical thinking, and problem-solving skills
