Multi-brand Education Manager

RESPONSIBLE FOR:

  • The multi-brand education community & strategy for the Professional Products Division (Brands include: Kerastase, Redken, L’Oreal Professional, Matrix, Pureology, Mizani) 
  • Transforming the Education function in country 
  • Reinventing the function as a stylist-driven ecosystem powered by personalised stylist data at scale

KEY JOB ACCOUNTABILITES:

Education Transformation:

  • Defines the strategic direction and  roadmap for this transformation in  South Africa, ensuring stylists’ needs are    at the heart of a flexible O+O experience (Online + Offline)
  • Change Management - Lead change initiatives by fostering a culture of adaptability and continuous improvement among staff and stakeholders. Address resistance to change and facilitate a smooth transition.
  • Inspires and leads the internal and external education community in the digital and social transformation  of the function (LSA implementation, upskilling, career paths….)
  • Defines the right organizational structure (educators & freelancers)
  • Strategises and optimises our interactions with stylists, to increase education reach and amplify its impact, turning our education into a  strong business / growth driver and engagement advocacy driver
  • Identifies and scales-up the opportunities for return on investment of education     across the PPD brands
  • Propose, pilot and analyze relevant education indicators
  • Driving the development and leading the upskilling of business acumen within our professional community and industry.
  • Responsible for the School strategy, support and implementation plan
  • In charge of Education P&L shift
  • Team leadership and development
  • Must have MS Excel Skills (Advanced) - Use data-driven insights to make informed decisions. (Budget Management - Develop and manage budgets related to educational transformation initiatives). 


Multi Brand:

  • Generates multi-brand education      content and co-ordinates brand content
  • Manages academies (allocation, strategy) in a multi-brand approach 
  • Ensures consistent execution across  brands
  • Be the spokesperson for issues concerning the profession

Access:

  • Drives implementation of the Access platform as a strategic growth driver and prepares its transformation to a social selling platform
  • Leads an editorial content strategy to deliver best-in-class digital content to engage and educate our stylist via the Access platform
  • Implements a data tracking strategy, using Access and other tools, to provide stylists with personalised solutions and the business with data insights which generate sales
  • Must have leadership, project management, educational expertise, and communication skills. 
  • Excellent in Strategic Planning - Develop and execute a comprehensive strategic plan for the educational transformation team.

 

Management:

  • Expert community Lead for Education Managers across brands
  • 5+ years in people management - Ability to drive changes and improvements within the educational sphere. 
  • Establish systems for evaluating team performance, curriculum effectiveness, and teaching methods.
  • Ability to collaborate with educators and curriculum designers to create and update educational programs and courses that are innovative, relevant, and effective.
  • Ability to provide training and support for educators and teams.

TECHNICAL & PROFESSIONAL COMPETENCIES REQUIRED: 

  • Elevates customer experience & Service attitude – fosters empathy, knows customer profiles & transmits customer-centricity
  • Strong experience in  hairdressing & or beauty experience – Managing team of educators / BA’s etc – with a training focus and upskilling passion
  • Knowledge of brands’ identities and value propositions & knows selective beauty universe
  • Ability to strategize education  to support PPD’s overall strategy & go to market
  • Drives business through service & retail education – aligned to business priorities. Co-operates with 360◦ internal & external stakeholders guaranteeing a consistent customer experience.
  • Designs, transmits & empower – designs appropriate learning solutions for customer experience; delivers & transmits educational content; provides personalized follow-up & coaching; animates learning communities with passion.
