Lancôme National Makeup Artist UKI 

 

Location: Field & Office Based –  London 37.5 Hours 

 

We are looking for an exceptional National Makeup Artist who will create and lead artistry direction for the brand and will be pivotal in guiding our teams through the messwithmakeup rebrand and get Lancôme firmly on the map as a serious artistry brand. 

 

Be responsible for creating and delivering the makeup education and engagement strategy for the brand, collaborating with internal and external stakeholders to execute an exceptional experience, and learning environment as well as lead innovation in digital learning.   

 

You will develop and inspire our 450 beauty advisors across the UK and Ireland, striving to make them experts in their field.  

 

What are key highlights of this role? 

 

The National Makeup Artist serves as the Lancôme Brand Ambassador for the UK & Ireland. You will have a creative mindset and will deliver strong Makeup Artistry Educationelevated client services in Flagship doors as well as being our face of the brand at PR events. You will be passionate about education, artistry and customer experience whilst being able to engage our Pro Artist and Beauty Advisor community via face-to-face training. Leading a team of 4 regional artists across the UK and Ireland and influencing our 60 in store MUA’s. 

 

What are the key responsibilities? 

 

BA Education & Engagement 

  • Launch & develop the overall makeup education strategy with the National Education Manager and in line with our Global Lancôme team

  • Identify core training needs & priorities to deliver an inspiring, retail-focused education programme to upskill our BA population and excite our multi branded tribesincluding the creation of artistry training modules, materials and point of sale tools 

  • Support the delivery of the National Beauty Advisor Roadshow & Conference 

  • Work with retailer contacts to develop content for non-L’Oréal BA’s where relevant, attending third party training events. 

 

Leadership  & Influence 

  • Managedevelop & inspire the Regional Artistry Team 

  • Build and lead an active artistry community within Lancôme.  

  • Collaborate with our partner tribes teams to communicate & maintain consistency on brand messages, imageintegrity & experience  

 

Retail & Customer Experience 

  • Influence the customer journey & experience on make-up 

  • Evaluate the impact of education on sales and service and feedback to National Education Manager and wider Lancôme Teams 

  • Drive Artistry evening & animation personally and via our MUA & BA population 

  • Advise and report on the success of new makeup launches 

 
Brand   

  • Work with key influencers and liaiswith our PR teams to lead Pro Artist teams at PR events including BAFTA 

  • Build a strong online presence, engaging with social media trends to create content on your own branded Instagram handle.  Continue to engage with your followers and expand your network whilst professionally representing the brand.  

 

Support and Development: 

 

  • You will have a full induction into the brand and will attend an annual NMA Seminar with our Global Makeup Artistry Director to continue your development 

  • You will have access to an ongoing channel to all our National Makeup Artists across the globe to lean on for support and guidance. 

  • You will have the full support of our in-house PR team to help develop and grow your online presence. 

  • You will have access to E-Learning modules where you can develop yourself, we will support your development with a best in the business experience. 

 

Preferred Skills & Qualifications 

 

  • You are a working Makeup Artist with minimum 5 years’ experience with strong ability to create a wide range of looks and master all techniques. 

  • Leadership skills. Previous sales and team management experience, ideally within beauty industry  

  • Previous training and education experience, ideally within the beauty industry  

  • Exceptional training and coaching skills   

  • Experience and understanding of effective sales techniques, customer service and proven ability to drive results  

  • Strong analytical skills 

  • Developing online social presence

  • Keen interest & understanding of social platforms 

  • Strong networker, knowledge of artistry, consumer and market trends
