Key Job Accountabilities  主要職務            

Shu Uemura is a Japanese makeup brand for young and sophisticated Asian makeup addict. Attached to the Luxe Division. it is one of the 36 brands of the L'Oréal group, the world n.1 leader in cosmetics.

To complete its missions, the brand's Retail Design & Merchandising International department is looking for a Staging & Merchandising Designer.

Your mission :

As part of the larger Go-To-Market team, you will report to the International Retail Design & Merchandising director, and will be in charge of expressing the brand's brand concepts and omni-channel strategies into exciting offline experiences including staging designs creation, pop-ups, podiums and permanent retail touchpoints. You will interact with the 6 people from the merchandising team and all internal stakeholders (marketing, digital, communications, retail education) as well as external partners (zones, local market teams and manufacturers) from the briefing to the final realization. You will feed the competitive analysis of the main actors of the sector.


Must Have Aspects 必須項目             

Design background: ideally accompanied by a first successful experience in luxury cosmetics or luxury fashion industry; in the fields of visual merchandising / retail design / product or industrial design / stage, event or pop-up design / graphic design / architecture; or a combination of the above. Mastery of Adobe Suite,  Microsoft Office tools are must, and including a mastery of fast modeling software solution like Sketch'Up or VRay.            

At least 5 years of experiences in a similar position within an international brand or a creative agency. 

Experienced in creating, adapting and developing staging/merchandising concepts internationally.

Having a good knowledge of the specificities of Asian consumer insights and shopping habits are a plus.         

Project Management skills: Lead efforts in the creation and curation of offline retail store display materials solutions to the to the product marketing plan needs. Must have a sensible luxury aesthetic sense, coupled with solid technical knowledge. You must be creative and pragmatic, agile and willing, enthusiastic and self-reliant. You will be able to propose and present new concepts.             

Collaboration skills: Develop and maintain an effective working relationship with key stakeholders and partners to ensure alignment across teams on visual merchandising strategy. You must be willing to actively communicate and problem solve issues through a collaborative effort.            

Knowledge and interest in sustainability and omni-channel retail experiences are highly appreciated             

Must be open communication style with proficient English business communication level so that you can easily express yourself - orally and writing - to our international partners and stakeholders, both orally and in writing.
