The role:

This role will take the technical ownership of the applications of SPACE in Asia Pacific and would be firstly accountable for the overall performance of the technical architecture. This role is also responsible for managing vendor to make sure they are on the right direction aligned with L’Oreal’s architecture principles. This role also need to work with internal partner to make sure the applications comply with L’Oreal’s standards. This role will also bring value to the team with having deep understanding of technical architecuture and proposing  continued improvement initiatives for the product.

This is a role which requires someone to have strong technical architecture design and management skills with an entrepreneurial mindset. In SPACE program we are implementing several application with both build and buy model. And these applications are build on different technology stacks. CDS is build on GCP with GCP technology, CDP is SaaS on AWS, Loyalty is running on Azure. It is a role which is suited to someone with rich knowledge and experience on these technology stacks. We also have different vendors for these applications. Much of what we do is remote therefore good, clear and high quality communication to people in different countries will be required. Professional management skill on technical architecture will be required. This applications will be continuously developed and integrated. This role is suited to someone who can understands business and can propose suitable technical solution.

The person in this position will have responsibility for application technical architecture design, review, presentation. At the same time, partnering with our internal partner on zone and country level. Zone level partner for this position includes digital, data ,integration, security, infrastructure and enterprise architecture team.

For a start, this role will be responsible for the SPACE Loyalty project architecture management, evolution and roll out in North Asia Pacific to replace our legacy system and the role will also need to spend some time on CDS and CDP technical architecture management. This role will spend 50% of the time in our vendor’s office to perform code review and solution design with our vendor’s development team.

This role is based in Shanghai and reports to the IT CRM Senior Delivery Manager.

-          Lead the technical architecture design for SPACE Loyalty project where the loyalty component’s architecture will be changed from VM based architecture to containerized and PAAS based architecture.

-          Optimize the micro service design for SPACE Loyalty application with CR development process.

-          In charge of the code management for SPACE Loyalty application by reviewing the Java codes and documentation provided by the vendor

-          In charge of the trunk management for SPACE Loyalty application to make sure the application version is under control

-          Optimize the application performance for SPACE loyalty application by leading vendor to do performance test and optimization from code level

-          Take care of the integration between SPACE application and relevant applicatons in L’Oreal’s ecosystem.

-          Provide technical support for other SPACE project and other ad-hoc applications

Profile & Position Requirements:

Required credentials:

         Bachelor’s degree and a minimum of 7-10 years in application development with Java.

         Minimum 3-5 years’ experience in architecture management and technical lead.

         Ability to navigate in very complex matricial and multi-country environment

         Have good sense on architecture design

         Have good experience on Micro service design, Spirng cloud framework,Javascript,RabbitMQ,Redis,PostgreSQL, Kubernet and Docker.

         Have good experience on Azure Cloud service (Azure Kubernet Service, Azure Database for Postgre SQL, Azure Cache for Redis, Azure Service Bus, Azure Key Vault, Azure Monitor and Azure Devops).

         Diligent & detail oriented individuals with ability to understand customer needs and business priorities

         Process oriented who can perform problem solving using strong analytical skills.

         Knowledge of source code/version management is needed.

         Strong and proactive communication and facilitation skills in English and experiences in partnering with business users, vendors, and other IT team members to design and implement systems solutions are desired.

         Good working attitude and strong ownership.

         Have experience in CRM, Marketing tool, MDM or E-commerce applications is a plus.

         Have knowlege on Google Cloud Platform technology stack is a plus.

         Agile project management experience is a plus

         Digital, and/or eCommerce related development expertise is a plus
