Title: Director of Programmatic Media, Division Lead 

Reports intoAVP of Programmatic Media 

Location: New York, New York 

The Director Programmatic MediaDivision Lead will need to deliver best in class, data-driven results for the business while showcasing collaboration, a sense of empathetic leadership, and accountability. In this role you will lead a team of planners and traders responsible for campaign management, planning, reporting and optimization across several brands.  You will also lead key portfolio-wide initiatives in delivering longer-term, future-forward innovationAs Director, Division Lead you will help create, innovate, and guide the programmatic process. 

Role Description: 

  • Serve as the main point of contact for brand team leads for strategy, planning and activation specific to each programmatic campaign 
  • Assist and guide team with all executional aspects of the campaign management processes – campaign strategy, tagging recommendations, console setupdelivery management (pacing, budget, spend)analysis and reporting 
  • Can multi-task, prioritize, and balance time across clients, multiple partner relationships and internal initiatives daily while maintaining a profound attention to detail 
  • Be seen as resource in terms of gathering and distributing research around the programmatic industry  
  • Ensure all programmatic campaigns are executed with consistency and excellence as defined by local and global L’Oreal standards 
  • Maintain a deep understanding of innovation capabilities, the L’Oreal business & existing and emerging buying platforms (AdobeDV360, etc.) 
  • Work closely with the senior team members to contribute to the success of cross-channel programmatic client campaigns 
  • Liaise between key internal (Digital IT, Data, research/analytics & operations) and external (agency) stakeholders 
  • Help in designing and delivering performance updates, optimizations, business reviews, new audience-based programmatic solutions and growth opportunity presentations 
  • Support the trading excellence lead in defining audience strategies and tactics to maximize economic outcomes within campaign limits 

Experience & Qualifications: 

  • Bachelor’s degree required 
  • 5-10 years of experience digital media experience across display, video, social and mobile; a minimum of 2+ years in-console audience-based RTB media  
  • Strong understanding of the programmatic ecosystem e.g. exchanges, DSPs, data offerings, auction types, marketplace dynamics, etc. and ability to demonstrate that knowledge 
  • Deep understanding of DMP segment builds for data overlay within media activation  
  • Knowledge of digital media systems and tools (i.e., ad servers, attribution, tagging, ad verification) 
  • Knowledge of ad targeting methodologies 
  • Familiarity with general media measurement methodologies 
  • Familiarity with general IT technology 
  • Strong analytical, problem solving and critical thinking skills 
  • Knowledge of online media metrics and analysis 
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office; deep experience with data analysis in Excel, including pivot tables and advanced functions 
  • Data analysis experience
