Job Summary

L’Oréal North America’s Transformation Office is looking for a highly motivated Director, Transformation to work collaboratively across stakeholders to manage the organization’s portfolio of projects, including the end-to-end demand management process. They serve as a liaison to executive leaders, support program/project managers, direct the resource pool, and lead the coordination of programs and projects across the transformation portfolio. The ideal candidate has strong analytical, critical thinking, and creative capabilities, the desire and ability to excel as an integrated leader and is comfortable working in a rapidly changing and fast-paced environment.


Key Job Responsibilities

Portfolio Management

  •  Promote business-led change with clear scoping, connectivity and project management for the portfolio of top transformation priorities – leading and project managing select initiatives within the portfolio
  • Own digital project management tool, coordinating across collective teams with compliance of updates; flagging inconsistencies to inform accurate portfolio view
  • Provide periodic project management support; mentor team in best practices and provide skill development
  • Serve as liaison to leadership/C-Suite Leadership
  • Ensure stakeholders are consistently engaged and milestones are met

Demand Management

  • Manage end-to-end demand management: from scoping, to design. Accelerate execution, connectivity, and impact of initiatives
  • Build on Transformation strategy and drive scoping of certain initiatives / workstreams
  • Support complex project design and implementation navigating the matrix and aligning cross-functional teams
  • Connect the dots and resolves issues as they are discovered with a solution mindset

Governance / Reporting and Analytics

  • Develop and modify governance charter to meet evolving business needs
  • develop analytical recommendations and drive insights to action

Knowledge & Skills:

  • Self-motivated, with an appetite for working entrepreneurially and a track record as a self-starter
  • Tech savvy, with knowledge of a variety of relevant tools
  • Strong project management skills and the ability to execute projects with speed, accuracy and efficiency
  • Adaptable to changing business conditions and thrive in a dynamic, fast-paced environment
  • Balanced analytical capability and emotional intelligence
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, and strong listening skills
  • An uncompromising commitment to quality – detail oriented but able to see the big picture

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration or Information Systems; or equivalent combination of education and relevant experience
  • Project Management Professional (PMP) certification
  • 8+ years of supervising and/or leading enterprise project management teams
  • Deep subject matter expertise in managing a complex portfolio encompassing both formalized programs, projects, and out-of-cycle requests
