Data Processing Manager

Responsibilities:

  • Work as a part of cross-divisional Data Team, the forefront of data transformation of the company
  • Take responsibility for the ETL processes, from data delivery to the organization (mostly as a large number of various excel files), through automated processing (Python based, mostly local yet cloud is an option for development), up to Database entry creation (local large flat files, PBI Server or cloud based SQL)
  • Manage a team of 2+ technically skilled juniors (therefore ability to manage the big picture and split project into tasks is a crucial skill, so is ability to check outputs quality and people management & development along)

Requirements:

  • Manager & Doer (you need to manage the team, and perform some tasks in the same time)
  • Strong problem-solving skills, business acumen, curiosity and general hands-on mentality
  • Critical thinking, touch for details and data quality obsession
  • UNDERSTANDING THE PROCESS (how to transform what we have into what we need)
  • UNDERSTANDING THE BUSINESS (understanding types of data, understanding additional calculated metrics, ability to spot suspicious results)
  • Excel Ninja (if you know how to process & combine together large datasets in Excel you will smoothly manage the process through other tools as well, it’s more about algorithm than tools)
  • At least some experience with Python & GCP (or other SQL solution) would be additional benefit
  • Familiarity with Nielsen data would be an additional benefit (actually if you’re Nielsen x Excel Ninja you’re the one we’re looking for, as you’ve been through it all)
  • Fluent English is a must (international team)
