Within Advanced Research, the Ingredient Invention Department's mission is to create and develop high-performance, sustainable, and exclusive cosmetic actives for our brands.
Within this department, you will be joining the Process & New Feedstock Platform. Our platform is responsible for developing scalable manufacturing processes for these new actives, covering all types of actives and using conventional or innovative chemical and biotechnological technologies. It has an international and cross-functional dimension, working in close collaboration with all Ingredient categories, the different R&I Departments, and NOVEAL, the subsidiary in charge of industrializing our actives. This essential positioning, contributing to the transformation of our actives into industrial reality, relies on both internal resources and a rich network of external partners.
In this context, we are seeking an Experienced Process Research & Development Technician.
You will join this platform within the LE THILLAY PROCESS&INNOVATION team, based in Le Thillay (95).
Your missions will include:
- Researching, developing, and promoting new safe and effective raw materials for the different brands to help bring more effective or innovative products to market.
- Taking charge of the development or transfer of syntheses from the laboratories.
- Defining and implementing operational programs to improve processes (synthesis, purification, extraction, yields, etc.) while respecting the expected quality objectives.
- Ensuring the analytical characterization of products using the tools available (NMR, HPLC, GC, etc.).
- Drafting operating procedures and manufacturing procedures.
- Carrying out process development up to a scale of a few kilograms using a scalable process.
- Ensuring operational reporting of technical activities.
- As an active member of the laboratory, you will be involved in safety and ensure the proper functioning and maintenance of work tools.
Your profile:
- You have a minimum qualification of a BAC+2 level (BTS or DUT).
- You have professional experience in process development.
- You have scientific and technical skills in the following areas:
- Knowledge of process development and scaling up.
- Knowledge of general chemistry (organic, polymer, mineral, and biochemistry).
- Knowledge of biotechnologies (USP or DSP) would be a plus.
- You have the ability to interpret and apply analytical and characterization techniques.
- You are familiar with laboratory-specific health and safety regulations.
- You have a good command of English to work in an international environment.
