JOB TITLE: Brand Advocacy Manager – Garnier

A Day in the Life

As Garnier's Advocacy Manager, based in Dubai, you will report to the Brand Director and play a pivotal role in shaping Garnier's sustainability narrative and initiatives within the GCC region. You'll be part of a dynamic marketing team, collaborating closely with internal stakeholders and external partners to amplify Garnier's commitment to green beauty. Your work will directly contribute to Garnier's broader sustainability goals and enhance its positive impact on the environment and communities.
 You are the expert of consumer engagement. You own the connection to our consumers in the social media landscape, acting as the voice of the brand. You drive social engagement and brand love through influencer management, content creation and presence on relevant social platforms. You are responsible for the delivery of successful brand events and influencer and press relationship building. You remain the press and influencer point of contact at all times.

 

  • Develop & Implement Advocacy Strategies: Create and execute comprehensive advocacy strategies aligned with Garnier's Green Beauty commitments. This includes identifying key influencers, developing engaging content, and managing relationships with relevant organizations and stakeholders.
  • Content Creation & Management: Develop compelling and impactful content (articles, social media posts, presentations, etc.) that effectively communicates Garnier's Green Beauty initiatives and progress.
  • Stakeholder Engagement: Build and maintain strong relationships with key stakeholders, including NGOs, government agencies, media outlets, and internal teams.
  • Campaign Management: Manage and oversee the execution of advocacy campaigns, ensuring alignment with overall marketing objectives and budget constraints.
  • Performance Measurement & Reporting: Track key performance indicators (KPIs) to measure the effectiveness of advocacy efforts and provide regular reports to the Brand Director.
  • Trend Analysis: Stay abreast of emerging trends in sustainability and green beauty, identifying opportunities to enhance Garnier's advocacy efforts.

We Are Looking For

The ideal candidate is a passionate and driven individual with a strong understanding of sustainability and a proven track record in advocacy or communications. You are a creative storyteller with excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

  • Sustainability Expertise: Deep understanding of environmental issues and sustainable practices within the beauty industry.
  • Advocacy Experience: Proven experience in developing and implementing successful advocacy campaigns.
  • Communication Skills: Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to tailor messaging to different audiences.
  • Relationship Management: Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to build and maintain relationships with diverse stakeholders.
  • Project Management: Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously, meeting deadlines and staying within budget.

 

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES: 

• Manage PR brand budget

• Strategically identify, recruit, and nurture relationships with a diverse range of creators (top-tier to micro-influencers), tailoring strategies to each group

• Plan strong influencer activations driving to online business

• Plan social media calendars by retailer to support new launches and pillars

• Define a PR strategy for the brand & activation calendar

• Monitor campaign performance, analyze results, and use data-driven insights to optimize strategies and demonstrate the program's value to stakeholders

• Manage a consistent list of influencers directly and together with agency

• Responsible for creating relevant local content in line with the brand DNA and strategy and in line with content trends

• Plan strategic PR events to increase the brands awareness in the region

• Responsible for setting a strong PR seeding strategy & execution

• Use social listening to spot trends and insights, craft data-driven campaigns, and empower creators to develop compelling content that aligns with brand message.

• Be the voice of the markets to zone/DMI on the social media & PR topic

• Identify, manage and engage influencer communities

• Develop product/brand awareness & community engagement
