Job Summary:

The Assistant Manager of PR and Influencer will help support the strategy and execution of the brand’s voice and image among consumers, influencers, retailers and the press. By embracing the essie spirit, you will aid in identifying influencer talents and managing the global advocacy program whilst helping to create high profile events, programs and campaigns that will inspire and engage our consumer. essie is looking for a dynamic influencer marketer who will:

  • Be Immersed in culture and trends to help improve essie’ cultural relevancy through content, among influencers and with the press.
  • Support Director/AVP with competitive best practices to maximize visibility and engagement on key social platforms (Instagram, YouTube, Twitter, Facebook, Pinterest, TikTok)
  • Assist Director/AVP to manage the global advocacy program
  • Identify global and key talent for global advocacy program
  • develop consistent research and identification of strategic beauty influencers to target
  • Write product press releases
  • Manage and develop trend reports
  • Manage nail artists partners and contract deliverables
  • Manage internal teams comms
  • Foster and grow network of current influencers and brand advocates, and maintain influencer database with accurate and up-to-date records
  • Analyze KPI’s from paid integrations and support decisions with ROI-based analysis
  • Support the Director/AVP on larger total brand & product-related activations
  • Manage Influencer activities and accommodations during live brand events and activations
  • Work closely with the essie marketing team (to ensure all brand communications and influencer marketing efforts are aligned and synergistic
  • Ideate around impactful influencer programming to support strategic launches and pillar priorities 
  • Forecasting & Ideation for Influencer/advoacy Mailers and related product inventory
  • Efficiently Manage the Influencer & PR Budget/Tracker/PO Process
  • Oversee the Influencer contract generation and revisions with Legal
  • Work in lock step with the LUSA Corporate and CMO Teams to optimize earned efforts across earned channels, including media and influencers, as well as all related outside vendors
  • Manage and update all influencer analytics, utilizing tools such as Traackr and DOMO to validate KPIs per influencer, per paid program and versus industry standards
  • Maintain competitive and efficient talent rates versus industry

  • Excellent verbal, interpersonal, and written communication skills
  • Bachelor’s degree required
  • 2-4 years of experience in public relations/communications
  • Experience in beauty PR, social media or influencer relations
  • Knowledge of the influencer and media landscape
  • Past Influencer Management Experience: experience in contract negotiations preferred
  • Professional writing skills, including strategies, press releases, media alerts, talking points, and guidelines amongst others (preferred)
  • Demonstrates a high level of maturity, resourcefulness, and poise in executive and corporate setting
  • Maintains a positive and professional attitude in all situations
  • Must work well with a large team in an open-office setting
  • Holds a strong work ethic and standard for which tasks and projects are completed (Attention to detail is a must)
  • Excellent organizational and communications skills, ability to prioritize and multi-task
  • Understanding of beauty and cosmetics industry
  • Affinity for fashion and beauty
  • Strong understanding and passion for the beauty and cosmetics industry
