In the department of Hair DA Department, we are looking for a manager. 

As a manager, your main responsibilities are : 
  • Lead and develop shampoo development with deep understanding of technical know-how.
  • Lead and manage shampoo team to deliver key project milestones.
  • Lead operational and administrative management of the laboratory through delegation from the head of the laboratory (safety, planning, investment, contracts, meetings, etc.)
  • Connect with different departments within R&I to identify new opportunity in shampoo innovation.
  • Create and ensure the prompt availability of quality products for businesses that are safe and effective, suitable for mass production, in line with the brand/category innovation strategy. 
  • Ensure launch commitments are met with regard to lead times and costs. 
  • Assume responsibility for all development projects and follow through with businesses.
  • Propose innovative technologies for hair care (especially shampoo) category that offer results the consumer can perceive.
  • Promote and coordinate cross-disciplinary technologies within the business line.
  • Promote knowledge sharing by leading your area of expertise.
  • Contribute to safeguarding L’Oréal intellectual property (registering and protecting patents, etc.)  
To succeed in this position, you have : 
  • Education background
  • Recquired professional experience
  • Mandatory technical skills
  • Nice to have technical skills

You are : 
  • Major in Science and Engineering, Master/Ph.D. chemistry is preferred.
  • 8-10 years formulation experiences in FMCG Company with good tracking record. Haircare related is preferred. At least 1-2 years people management experience. 
  • Good communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Experience of transferring scientific/technical knowledge into inventions and innovations.
  • Creates actives, technologies and products to maximize the perceived performance. 
  • Interprets results in the most relevant way and communicates them with integrity 
  • Continuously develops expertise and research new technologies or methods. Shares and passes on scientific/technical expertise.
  • Leverage digital to accelerate innovation, to open new areas of performance and develop connected cosmetic. 
  • Proposes creative ideas or scientific concepts based on consumer insights 
  • Be able to translate consumer/market insights into outstanding product performance goals. 
  • Acts with a local and global perspective to achieve the multipolar innovation goals
  • Promotes collaboration among functions to ensure collective performance 
  • Fosters dialogue with the business and brands to transform innovation into big market opportunities.
