The Area Manager is a professional who have the responsibility to maximize the commercial strategy on a defined perimeter of customers and buying group.

Managing a group of salesmen, the role has the goal to develop a long term relationships with the trade as the professional figure of the people in own team.

Setting the sales target for individual zones, ensure a plan in line with the targets of the company.

Communicate with clients on a regular basis, visiting frequently the field with the sales man:

  • Manage a personal development plan for every member of team working on the sales skills
  • Ensure the share of market increase for the portfolio managed
  • Ensure the assortment share and the correct distribution of the product through a cluster store strategy in line with the category guidelines
  • Ensure a promo plan in line with the channel strategy by brand and category,  monitoring the weighted share of leaflet on own zone and

The Area Manager is responsible for budgets, P&L statements, forecast process, monitoring the region assigned to discover new customers and new opportunity of business.

The AM provides feedback to sales management regarding the market situation, customer needs and competitive moves, organizing follow-up for the salesmen managed, and creating a positive team working.

The AM promote a internal network with other function like Trade Marketing, Finance, Marketing, Supply, in order to simplify the connection through colleagues and spreding the Simplicity value.
