In the department of Open Innovation R&I, we are looking for an Intern.
Type of contract: 6 – 9 months
Location: Bangalore, India
We are looking to hire an Open Innovation - Intern for our Open Innovation Team based in Bangalore to navigate and scout the universe of digital technology developers in India for the most promising solutions for cosmetic applications.
As an Intern, your main responsibilities are:
- Do market research on Deeptech start-ups/ corporates, innovations, and venture capital investments in the India region (with focus on Digital technologies/tools/ methods for scientific applications)
- Identify & evaluate opportunities for L’Oreal fit to connect with potential innovation partners or start-ups under guidance.
- Contribute to the ongoing digital initiatives to adopt to the internal needs
- Contribute to the organization of other Open Innovation events and activities.
To succeed in this position, you have:
- Master’s degree in chemical engineering, chemistry/physics or related interdisciplinary sciences.
- Understanding of computational chemistry/soft matter physics/Biology techniques, tools
- Knowledge and hands on research experience on theory and simulations related to one or more of the following: molecular quantum mechanics, molecular dynamics simulations, structure-based drug discovery, deep learning methods.
- Experience with high performance scientific programming and algorithm design, handling open source tools
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills

- Passionate for spotting disruptive technology opportunities and connecting the dots for cosmetic applications.
- Keen interest in scientific computing methods and techniques and their concrete applications in daily life
- Self-motivated and initiative taking.
