L'Oréal Career Testimonial – Sreenath, Marketing (L'Oréal India)
In this video, Sreenath, a Marketing Manager for Garnier Color Naturals at L'Oréal India, discusses how his hobby of building custom motorcycles mirrors his methodical approach to brand management. The visuals alternate between him working with tools in a motorcycle workshop, leading interactive product strategy sessions, and speaking candidly in a modern corporate lounge. He recounts his early role in relaunching Lancôme in India and how L'Oréal fosters a true entrepreneurial mindset.

Sreenath (Marketing - L'Oréal India): "Hi, my name is Sreenath. I am from a part of India known as Trivandrum. I've been working with L'Oréal for the past seven years. And currently I'm handling the Garnier Color Naturals business in L'Oréal India. So I'm happy."
[Laughs warmly]
Sreenath: "Riding is something I stumbled upon when I was young. What I realized is that it gave me a great sense of balance, and I use that balance to manage the chaos of my life. For me, it's not always about just riding a bike; it's also the joy I get out of working on it."

Sreenath: "Thanks."
Sreenath: "Back in 2019, when I joined L'Oréal as a management trainee, I was told that I was going to join the luxury division as employee number two. And they told me that the project I'm going to work on is relaunching Lancôme in India. Honestly, it was scary. And a few months into it, my manager comes and tells me that now I have to present to the country manager. The meeting is almost done, and my country manager just stands up and tells me, 'Sreenath, great. Now go get it done.'"
Sreenath: "I always thought that the entrepreneurial spirit was something that only existed in startups. But initially, when I was working on relaunching a brand, it kind of made sense. You're effectively operating like a startup: you get the thrill of the entrepreneurial spirit like how you get in a startup. I realized that what's fueling me every day, what's pushing me to get things done, what's keeping me excited at work, is that same mindset."
[Gentle acoustic guitar strum]
Sreenath: "So coming from an engineering background, beauty was never second nature. When I started working on the Lancôme catalogue, it was a struggle. There's a lot of parallel between working on a bike and a makeup routine. You go by it step by step, one after the other. And once you're done with it, you have a full picture, and that made complete sense."
[Sreenath chuckles heartily]
Sreenath: "Honestly, if you ask me what's next at L'Oréal, I don't have a definitive answer. I know I'm going to be looking out for the next big challenge. If you want to know exactly what it is, you'll have to give me a bike and some time, and I'll get back to you with some answers. After all..."
[Visual: Rapid montage cutting to Marco and Ana Paula.]
Marco: "Life is too short for a boring career."
Ana Paula: "Life is too short for a boring career."
