Angel (Marketing - Professional Products Division): "My name is Angel. I do marketing at L'Oréal. So, specifically, I work in the Professional Products Division with L'Oréal Professionnel, doing the retail and styling."
[Gentle acoustic guitar and upbeat rhythm]
[Angel laughs]
Angel: "So about two years ago, I moved from Detroit to New York. And my first week there, I got to meet a guy at a local gym who was boxing. So the first session was very demanding and mentally taxing, but it got me hooked, and I kept wanting to go more."
[Visual: A crew member snaps the clapperboard in front of Angel before the interview resumes.]
Angel: "So in terms of how I got into L'Oréal, I randomly received an email from my school. I cold-applied, and I got it. Initially, I thought L'Oréal was just a makeup company. You know, I saw L'Oréal products all the time in drugstores. But as I started learning about L'Oréal, I was really amazed at the scale. It's number one in beauty for a reason, and there's just so much to learn and explore here."
[Visual: A crew member claps the slate board again.]
Angel: "Now in brand marketing, it's a very fast-paced environment because there are so many steps you need to take for a product to come to life. It takes an ambitious and bold mindset, along with the right people around you to really push you for success and to win it at the end of the day. It's just like in boxing: you need the right people in your corner. Yeah."
[Off-camera crew member]: "Are we good? No, we're good."
[Angel smiles and chuckles]
Angel: "So people are definitely a big part of it. I have colleagues that take on different roles and responsibilities. I have mentors, I have people I call friends. And, you know, most recently, I introduced boxing to a friend of mine, and we train very regularly now. At the end of the day, they're my community and the reason why I grow and dare to take risks."
[Warm ambient transition]
Angel: "So looking ahead, I'm excited about the opportunities here that won't be static. I'm still so amazed about the scale of this place that there's so many things to learn and experience here. It's just like in boxing where the fighters next to you, you get to see that there's levels to it, and there's so much hard work along the way that needs to get done in order for me to get to that stage, right? So the future is unknown, but it's going to be fun, and I'm ready for it."
[Visual: Quick cut to Ana Paula, then to another male colleague speaking.]
Ana Paula & Male Colleague: "Life's too short for a boring career."
[Upbeat outro chord]
