Job Title: (Sr.) Open Development Scientist (3CE Brand) - R&I Korea

(**English resume is required to apply)

[Key Responsibilities]

  • Scout with Relevance: Build awareness of trends and consumer needs, especially across North Asia and ASEAN; work with 3CE DMI, within the 3CE OD Development team (Seoul & Shanghai), the OD corporate WW network, and partners such as Evaluation Intelligence to help identify vendor technologies with consumer relevance.
  • Drive Projects to Launch: Flag early technical alerts for the team's attention during scouting, then translate scouting outputs into actionable development plans, aligning DMI, Operations, and internal/external partners on risk and timelines. Steer projects from concept to launch with quality and on-time delivery, managing vendors across locations — especially Korea & China — on technical execution, quality, and milestones, with early risk flagging and a problem-solving, cooperative mindset.
  • Deliver with Quality: Lead launch quality validation end-to-end — stability, compatibility, micro-testing, HMs, FTO, scaling up, and spec set-up with different functional teams and vendors. Escalating deviations as needed and supporting registration milestones through accurate, complete, and prompt formula documentation.

[Qualifications & Experience]

  • Preferably Senior candidates — potential and drive matter more than years of tenure.
  • Education & Experience: Bachelor's or higher in Chemistry or a related scientific field.
  • +5 years experience in cosmetics industry, including vendor-side experience. (But fresh graduates are welcome: passion for makeup, formulation fundamentals, and product sense matter most.)
  • Technical & Project Skills: Basic knowledge of cosmetic formulation and product development, with an aptitude for project management — able to learn fast and handle multiple priorities.
  • Communication & Mindset: Good communication and stakeholder management skills, organized documentation habits (emails, meeting minutes, reports), and a curious, detail-oriented, problem-solving attitude.

[Language & Tools]

  • Korean: native level (required)
  • English: fluent (required — daily written and verbal communication with global teams)
  • Digital tools: comfortable with relevant digital tools and basic office work, AI usage as a must.
