What You Will Do:
As Creative Content manager, you will work directly with the Director of Brand Creative and be a key member of the Maybelline Brand Creative team.
This role pairs creative thinking and cultural fluency with strong operational ownership: you will turn business objectives, consumer insight and cultural signals into sharp briefs and earned-first ideas, then take the work all the way from brief to delivery across every touchpoint: social, video, TV, experiential, influencers, PR and e-commerce.
Day to day, you will own projects end to end: planning, timelines, shoots, partners, approvals and final assets. You will sit at the intersection of the global brand team, internal creative teams (L'Agency), external creative agencies, creators, vendors and zone/local teams, bringing people together and keeping every project on brand, on scope and on schedule.
You will also be the team's go-to visuals: building mood boards, storyboards and polished presentations that make ideas land, and using L'Oréal's approved AI tools across content creation, not just in ideation. And you will be a source of cultural intelligence, judging which moments matter for Maybelline and turning them into timely, platform-right content opportunities.
Key Responsibilities:
1 – Own projects end to end
- End-to-end project management: own projects from brief and planning through production, approvals, delivery and post-campaign learning; manage timelines, dependencies, stakeholders and multiple workstreams in parallel.
- Day-to-day project ownership: build scopes, staffing needs and timelines, then track milestones, risks, decisions and deliverables from kick-off to final asset, flagging issues early and keeping everyone aligned.
- Execution and quality: coordinate feedback rounds, approvals, asset handoffs and final deliverables to ensure work is on brand, accurate and delivered on schedule.
- Build and release campaign dossiers to countries, including asset briefs, production and optimization guidance across:
- Owned media: social content, website and app content (films, videos, visuals, packshots, posts, hashtags)
- Earned media: UGC, creator and influencer content
- Paid media: awareness content, PR content, SEM guidelines, display ads, e-retail kits
Support zone and local teams in translating global strategies into strong, locally relevant activations.
2 – Build the strategy behind the work
- Translate brand and business objectives (awareness, consideration, loyalty and retention) into clear, inspiring creative briefs for global campaigns, launches, big bets and brand pillars.
- Conduct market research, competitive analysis and consumer insight work to inform brand strategies and identify opportunities for growth.
- Define positioning, messaging and value propositions that resonate with target audiences, differentiate Maybelline in the marketplace and stay rooted in Maybelline DNA.
- Develop communication architectures and channel roles across owned, earned and paid media, with a platform-native lens for each touchpoint.
- Shape unexpected, earned-first ideas designed to spark word of mouth and inspire people to share, in partnership with the Director, Brand Creative, L'Agency and agency partners.
3 – Bring the work to life: production & content creation
- Photo and video shoot coordination: plan and coordinate shoots, including briefs, shot lists, schedules, talent and vendor coordination, production logistics and on-set support, in partnership with the relevant creative and production teams.
- Hands-on production coordination: work day-to-day with internal teams, L'Agency, external agencies (creative, social, A&I, production), creators and vendors to move content efficiently from idea to finished asset.
- AI-enabled content workflows: use available, approved AI tools across appropriate stages of content creation, such as research, concept development, mood boards, storyboards, copy exploration and workflow efficiencies, following applicable company guidance and review processes.
4 – Be the team’s go-to for visuals
- Presentation design: build clear, visually strong PowerPoint presentations that communicate creative strategies, concepts, plans and results to different audiences, from creative partners to senior leadership.
- Visual development: create mood boards, references, storyboards and visual directions that help the team and partners align quickly on the look and feel of the work.
- Guardian of visual quality: bring a sharp eye to every asset, ensuring consistency with Maybelline's visual identity and creative standards across markets and platforms.
5 – Turn culture into content opportunities
- Cultural intelligence: continuously track beauty, fashion, entertainment, music, creator and platform trends, and share relevant signals with the creative and brand teams.
- Go beyond trend spotting: assess which cultural moments are truly relevant for Maybelline and turn them into actionable, platform-appropriate, brand-right content opportunities, with the speed to seize them in real time.
- Identify new opportunities in creator and influencer spheres that can help reach new audiences and strengthen Maybelline's presence across markets.
6 – Help transform how the brand creates
- Champion an earned-first, social-first and storytelling mindset across the brand and with cross-functional partners (marketing, communications, retail, etc.).
- Help brand teams get the best from agency partners by sharpening briefs, structuring feedback and raising the bar on creative work.
7 – Measure, learn & get recognized
- Monitor and analyze campaign performance (brand awareness, engagement, sentiment) and make data-driven recommendations for optimization.
- Capture post-campaign learnings and share regular updates and insight reports with the Director, the global brand team and stakeholders.
Who you are:
- 5–7 years of experience across creative strategy, content or brand marketing, and creative project management or production, ideally in a creative, social or in-house agency and/or a consumer-facing brand.
- A culturally connected creative thinker with a passion for storytelling and deep fluency in social platforms, creators, beauty, fashion and entertainment. You can turn data, research and cultural signals into simple, brand-right ideas that capture attention and drive engagement.
- A natural organizer: you have owned multiple projects, timelines and stakeholders at once, adapted to changing priorities and deadlines, and kept work moving from idea to finished asset.
- Hands-on production experience, ideally including photo and video shoots (briefs, shot lists, schedules, vendors, talent, on-set support).
- A strong visual eye and advanced PowerPoint skills: you build presentations that make ideas land.
- Practical, responsible use of AI tools in creative and content workflows, and curiosity for what’s next.
- A clear writer and communicator who can articulate complex ideas to diverse audiences, and who brings people together, motivating cross-functional teams, agencies, creators and vendors to drive results without direct authority.
