A Day in the Life

Reporting directly to the Head of Clinical Safety & Risk Assessment, you are the key medical authority validating product and device safety before clinical testing. You make the final calls that steer our global R&I pipeline, drawing on our 35+ years of pioneering skin science and directly influencing our innovation pathways.

Your main responsibilities will be to:

  • Lead Safety Assessment: Conduct in-depth analysis of toxicology and safety data for ingredients and formulations to evaluate the benefit/risk ratio.
  • Validate Clinical Protocols: Develop and validate robust, safety-focused clinical study protocols, with a special focus on "at-risk" products such as injectables, oral supplements, and skin-penetrating technologies.
  • Drive Key Decisions: Make the final call on launching clinical studies based on your comprehensive safety and risk assessments.
  • Provide Medical Expertise: Act as the primary medical expert in clinical safety for our Research & Innovation teams, collaborating closely with Contract Research Organizations (CROs).
  • Shape Innovation: Contribute to the safety assessment strategy for our cutting-edge devices and Augmented Beauty portfolio.

We Are Looking For

You bring independent medical judgment and the scientific conviction needed to champion consumer safety across multidisciplinary teams. You bring:

  • Medical Expertise: Medical Doctor (MD) degree is essential, ideally complemented by a PhD in a relevant scientific field.
  • Proven track record in the pharmaceutical industry or a CRO, with a proven track record in clinical safety, pathology, or safety-focused clinical study supervision.
  • Strong expertise in evaluating complex products (e.g., injectables, oral, skin-penetrating) and in-depth knowledge of regulatory standards and Good Clinical Practices (GCP).
  • Ability to work with a high degree of autonomy and responsibility, with excellent communication and leadership skills. 
  • Language Proficiency: Professional working proficiency in both French and English to lead international clinical evaluations.
