Benoit – Brand Communications & Engagement | Building Brand Causes for Kérastase and Vichy

Introduction:
Benoit, Brand Communications & Engagement lead, speaks in a welcoming office café setting with a coffee cup in hand before moving into an art-filled library space. He shares his experience creating brand cause platforms from scratch, including Kérastase’s women’s mentoring initiative "Power Talks" and new projects for Vichy Laboratoires. The video underscores how communication professionals at L'Oréal build lasting, positive human impact through authentic storytelling.

Benoit: One of the greatest achievements to me was building the Kérastase Brand Cause. It was a collective work, but personally it brought me also a lot of confidence.

Benoit: Power Talks is a mentoring program to build confidence for women.

Benoit: Having impact is everything. And I think also working for Corporate Affairs & Engagement, working for communications, working for engagement, is all about having an impact, and that is what will last: the impact on the people.

[Visual: Benoit speaking warmly to camera with expressive hand gestures.]
Benoit: So before joining L'Oréal, I was working in the cultural world, and I was in charge of fundraising for the Fine Arts Museum of Rennes, in Brittany. At L'Oréal, I started in the corporate communications team. I had the opportunity to start working on the Sense of Purpose of the L'Oréal Groupe. It was once in a lifetime.

[Visual: Benoit reflecting on his trajectory.]
Benoit: I had the opportunity of starting then in Kérastase the Brand Cause. It was once in a lifetime, and now I'm working on a new platform for the brand Vichy Laboratoires.

Benoit: Again, it's a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity. In Corporate Affairs & Engagement, I feel we have the possibility to start things from the ground, to start things fresh.

[Visual: Cut back to Benoit facing camera directly.]
Benoit: To me, Corporate Affairs & Engagement is about also, like, creating stories. And it's only in this ecosystem that you can build those stories. I think everything is about having an impact.
