We have a suitable opening in the Operations – Packaging team. for the role of Lead - Qualification, Packaging for the SAPMENA (South Asia, Pacific, Middle East, North Africa) zone, based in Mumbai.
You will play a pivotal role in ensuring packaging excellence across the SAPMENA region for all divisions (CPD, PPD, and LDB). Reporting to the Packaging Director SAPMENA (Locally) & Packaging Qualification
lab Director (Globally), you will lead a team of 8 experts in Homologation (3) & Compatibility (5), driving innovation, sustainability, and quality in packaging.
In this capacity, the Packaging Qualification Lab is responsible for:
- Certifying and qualifying packaging components and aging finished goods (FG) products through rigorous testing to evaluate formula and packaging interactions.
- Investigating consumer complaints specifically linked to packaging issues.
- Characterizing various packaging components, such as flexible packaging materials, Rigid packaging, metals, tubes & glass etc.

- Strategic Leadership: Define and implement regional packaging qualification strategies, ensuring compliance with safety, quality, and regulatory standards.

- 12-15 years of work experience in Packaging
- Advanced Packaging Technical Expertise: In-depth understanding of diverse packaging materials (plastics, glass, metals, paperboard) and manufacturing processes, along with proficiency in packaging testing methodologies (e.g., compatibility, stability, functional testing).
- Team Leadership & Talent Development: Proven capability to build, mentor, and empower high-performing teams, fostering a culture of continuous improvement and professional growth.
- Cross-Functional Collaboration & Influence: Excellent interpersonal and negotiation skills to effectively collaborate with R&I, Manufacturing, Product Development, Packaging engineering, Packaging Innovation, and external suppliers, influencing stakeholders at all levels.
