L'Oréal is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Technical Product Owner to drive the strategic development and continuous improvement of our global Order Management System (OMS). In this pivotal role, you will bridge the gap between business needs and technical execution, translating complex requirements into actionable user stories and ensuring the delivery of robust, scalable, and user-centric OMS functionalities. You will be instrumental in optimizing our order fulfillment processes, enhancing customer experience, and supporting L'Oréal's digital transformation journey in the beauty industry.
What you will do:
- Elicit, analyze, and document business requirements, translating them into detailed user stories and acceptance criteria.
- Design and document the functional architecture of OMS solutions, ensuring scalability, maintainability, and performance.
- Provide guidance to the development team, ensuring solutions are implemented according to best practices and meet business requirements.
- Manage and prioritize the product backlog, balancing business value, technical feasibility, and dependencies.
- Collaborate effectively with business stakeholders, technical teams, CDMO and Supply Chain Product Owners, and external vendors to ensure alignment and drive consensus.
- Participate in and contribute to agile ceremonies (e.g., sprint planning, daily stand-ups, sprint reviews, retrospectives).
- Research and evaluate potential solutions to business problems, recommending the most appropriate approach based on cost, feasibility, and business value.
- Support testing and quality assurance efforts to ensure the delivered solutions meet the defined requirements and quality standards.
What we are looking for:
- Bachelor's degree in a related field; Master's degree is a plus.
- 5+ years of experience in product management, business analysis, or a similar role, with a strong focus on technical products or platforms.
- Proven experience as a Product Owner or Technical Product Owner for an Order Management System (OMS), supply chain management system, or a large-scale e-commerce platform
- Solid understanding of common OMS functionalities (e.g., order capture, order routing, inventory allocation, fulfillment, shipping, returns, payment processing)
- Familiarity with integration patterns and APIs, especially within a complex enterprise landscape (e.g., ERP, CRM, WMS, payment gateways)
- Experience with SQL or other data querying tools for data analysis.
- Ability to understand and articulate technical concepts to both technical and non-technical audiences
- Proven ability to translate business needs into technical solutions.
- Experience working in an agile development environment.
- Excellent communication, interpersonal, and presentation skills.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Experience working with international teams is a plus.
