The Trade Activation Manager will spearhead Aesop’s trade marketing strategy, from development to execution, across each of our channels and spaces to increase quality traffic to stores, drive conversion, enhance loyalty and support business growth. Reporting to the Marketing Manager and based between both our Collingwood Aesop head office and L’Oreal head office, this is a highly strategic and creative role responsible for impactful and measurable trade activations across our stores and counters across Australia and New Zealand.
Key responsibilities:
• Develop and implement Aesop’s trade marketing strategy to ensure sustainable business growth with a sharp focus on customer conversion and retention across all of our channels and spaces
• Liaise with internal & external stakeholders to execute measurable trade marketing initiatives that boost retail store performance, ensuring timely and budget-conscious execution
• Spearhead and drive Aesop’s Wholesale marketing initiatives across Amenity partners & Department stores, in partnership with our Omnichannel wholesale team
• Monitor campaign performance, analyse sales data, collate cross-functional team feedback, and assess market trends to provide actionable insights and recommend future trade marketing improvements
• Implement communication strategies and cross-channel plans for new store openings, renovations and relocations.
•Coordinate the production and deployment of marketing collateral across various online and offline platforms, including providing clear briefs for creative assets and collaborating with printers and suppliers.
• Foster strong relationships across various internal departments as well as external agencies, partners and suppliers.
•Continuously monitor and track marketing spend against budget.
• Act as a custodian of the Aesop brand, meticulously evaluating opportunities and maintaining brand values across all external communications and interactions.
Who we are looking for:
The candidate will have a thorough understanding of retail marketing, combined with a strategic mindset and a hands-on approach to delivering results. Comfortable in managing many different internal and external stakeholders and working in a fast-paced retail environment, the candidate must be a strong communicator and commercial thinker, always striving to uphold the Aesop brand values.
• Proven marketing experience, ideally within a retail business
• Degree qualified in Marketing or a similar field
• Confident working in a fast-paced environment and able to multi-task successfully with strong time management and organisational skills
• Able to work cross-functionally and collaboratively with strong stakeholder management and communication skills
• Strong sense of initiative and highly detail oriented, with excellent follow through skills.
• Proven experience managing multiple projects with strict time-dependent deliverables
• Meticulous attention to detail, creativity and flair while meeting requirements of the brief and business
• Strong interpersonal, communication and presentation skills
• Creative thinker with great attention to detail and good creative judgement
• Proactive personality, independent worker, self-starter, frequently initiate and can proactively present ideas, suggestions and problem-solving
• Strong financial and commercial acumen
•Natural, clear communicator with excellent stakeholder management skills.
• Must be proficient in use of Microsoft Office 365
