JOB TITLE: Data Specialist - Consumer Product Division

A DAY IN THE LIFE
- Data Acquisition, Cleaning & Preparation for RGM(Revenue growth management):
- Identify & Integrate Data Sources: Collaborate with IT and RGM teams to identify, acquire, and integrate relevant internal (e.g., sales, pricing, promotion, customer, cost data) and external (e.g., market, competitor, economic) data sources crucial for RGM analysis.
- Ensure Data Quality: Implement processes for cleaning, validating, and transforming raw data to ensure accuracy, consistency, and usability for RGM modeling and analysis.
- Build Data Pipelines: Develop and maintain robust data pipelines to automate the extraction, transformation, and loading (ETL) of RGM-related data.
- Advanced Analytics & Insight Generation for RGM:
- Conduct Deep Dive Analysis: Perform in-depth statistical analysis on RGM drivers such as pricing, promotional effectiveness, product mix, and channel performance to uncover key insights and opportunities.
- Identify Trends & Patterns: Utilize advanced analytical techniques to detect significant trends, anomalies, and underlying patterns in RGM-related data that impact revenue and profitability.
- Quantify Impact: Measure and quantify the financial impact of various RGM initiatives, pricing changes, and promotional activities.
- Predictive & Prescriptive Model Development for RGM:
- Build Forecasting Models: Develop and refine predictive models for sales forecasting, demand forecasting, and revenue prediction, incorporating RGM levers.
- Price Elasticity & Optimization Models: Construct models to understand price elasticity for different products/categories/segments and develop pricing optimization algorithms to maximize revenue and profit.
- Promotion Effectiveness Models: Create models to evaluate the incremental sales and ROI of promotional campaigns, providing recommendations for future promotion design and timing.
- Customer Segmentation & Value Models: Develop customer segmentation models based on purchasing behavior, brand loyalty, and price sensitivity to inform targeted RGM strategies.
- Product Mix Optimization Models: Design models to optimize product assortment and mix based on profitability and market demand.
- Experimentation Design & A/B Testing:
- Design RGM Experiments: Collaborate with RGM and marketing teams to design robust A/B tests and other experiments for pricing, promotions, and product introductions.
- Analyze Experiment Results: Analyze the results of RGM experiments, ensuring statistical significance and providing actionable insights for scaling successful initiatives.
- Strategic Recommendations & Collaboration:
- Translate Insights into Strategy: Translate complex analytical findings and model outputs into clear, concise, and actionable strategic recommendations for the RGM Manager.
- Collaborate Cross-functionally: Work closely with the RGM Manager, Marketing, Sales, and Finance teams to align data science efforts with business objectives and ensure model outputs are effectively integrated into business processes.
- Communicate Technical Concepts: Effectively communicate technical concepts, model methodologies, and analytical results to non-technical stakeholders.
- Technology & Methodological Advancement:
- Stay Current with Data Science Trends: Continuously research and evaluate new data science techniques, tools, and methodologies relevant to RGM, such as machine learning algorithms, big data technologies, and cloud-based analytics platforms.
- Improve Model Performance: Regularly monitor and improve the performance, accuracy, and robustness of RGM-related models.
WHO YOU ARE:
- Education : University graduate
- Year of Experience : 5 years' experience or above
- Experience: At least 5 years’ experience in the beauty industry or FMCG industry
- Language: Fluent in both Korean and English
- Other Skills: Computer skill proficiency( MS PPT, Excel, Word)
