A Day in the Life
As the IT Operations & Digitalization Manager at our Cairo Plant, you’ll play a pivotal role in driving operational excellence and digital transformation. Reporting directly to the Finance Director and dotted to Zone Singapore IT Team, you’ll lead a team of two IT professionals, ensuring that our IT systems and digital tools empower plant operations to achieve their full potential.
Here’s what your day-to-day might look like:
- Technical Skills:
- Design and implement the plant’s IT strategy, aligning it with L’Oréal’s global tech vision and operational goals.
- Monitor and analyze tech trends to identify opportunities for innovation and improvement in plant operations.
- Implement and manage virtual machines and cloud-based solutions to support plant operations.
- Manage Plant Infrastructure.
- ERP & Data Management:
- Leverage your expertise in ERP systems (SAP preferred) to optimize plant processes and ensure seamless integration across functions.
- Utilize SQL to manage, analyze, and extract insights from data, supporting decision-making and operational efficiency.
- Digital Transformation & Tools:
- Drive the adoption of new technologies and digital tools to enhance plant operations and support business growth.
- Lead digitalization initiatives, including the use of Microsoft PowerApps tools, to streamline processes and improve productivity.
- IT Budget Management:
- Develop, manage, and monitor the plant’s IT budget, ensuring cost efficiency and alignment with business priorities.
- Identify opportunities for cost optimization while maintaining high-quality IT services and solutions.
- Provide regular reporting on IT expenditures and ensure compliance with financial guidelines.
- Project Management:
- Oversee IT and digitalization projects from planning to execution, ensuring timely delivery and alignment with business objectives.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure successful project outcomes.
- Operational Excellence:
- Oversee the smooth functioning of IT systems, ensuring minimal downtime and maximum efficiency.
- Manage crisis situations effectively, providing swift resolutions to IT-related challenges.
- Collaboration & Team Leadership:
- Lead, mentor, and develop your team of IT professionals, fostering a culture of innovation and continuous learning.
- Partner with plant operations, finance, and other teams to ensure seamless integration of IT solutions.

- A bachelor’s degree in computer engineering or relevant experience in IT management.
- Strong knowledge of ERP systems (SAP preferred).

- Experience with virtual machines and basic knowledge of cloud computing.
- Proven experience in project management, with the ability to lead and deliver IT and digitalization projects.
- Familiarity with Microsoft PowerApps tools is preferred.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to make data-driven decisions.
- Excellent communication and leadership abilities to inspire and guide your team.
- Fluency in English.
